^BITUURItS „ MORRIS L. MALSTAFF Moris L. Malstaff. 70, of 10891 South CR-100W, Union Mills, died at 8:10 a m. Wednesday. March 2, in a freak farm accident as he hauled grain on his farm. According to reports by LaPorte County police. Malstaff has been hauling grain about 8:00 a.m. and stopped to check the oil in the hydraulic lift bed to his truck and raised the bed and crawled underneath to check the oil when the bed suddenly came crashing down on top of him. He was bom in South Bend on November 9, 1906, to Leonard M. and Stephanie (Gaeys) Malstaff. A longtime member of the Noble Twp. Advisory Board, he was married in Knox to Doris Bierly on March 21, 1931. A farmer all his life, he was a charter member of the Johnson Township Sportsmen's Gub and a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church. Union Mills and the LaPorte County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; two sons. Warren and Amos, both of Union Mills; two daughters, Mrs. C. William (Etta Mae) Hannon, Heidleburg, Germany and Mrs. Thomas (Roselind) Lane. San Pedro, California; one sister. Mrs. Herbert (Mary) Huhnke, Plymouth; two brothers. Peter, of Walkerton and George, of South Bend; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Camille and Gerald. Funeral services were held at 1 pm. Saturday, March 5, in the Weaver Funeral Home, Union Mills, with Rev. Walkerton and Diane (Mrs. Dan) Shupert, Bremen; two grandchildren and five sisters, Miss Norma Jean Heim, South Bend; Mrs, Georgia Bergland, Mrs. Vera Krueger and Mrs. Winifred Mobley. all of North Liberty and Mrs. Donnabelle Shoemaker. Logans port. HANNAH PREVOST Hannah Prevost. 76. of the RN Nursing Home. Teegarden, formerly of Jewett. Ohio, died at 3:45 a m. Sunday in the nursing home following a brief illness. Graveside services were at 2:00 p.m, Tuesday in Cadiz, Ohio, Union Cemetery. The Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton, was in charge of arrangements. She was bom on April 21, 1900, in Scio, Ohio, and had lived here since December. 1976. In 1930. she married George Dewey Laizure in Cadiz, Ohio, who died on August 11. 1948.
