Mrs George Hillis accompanied Mr and Mrs J Peterson and Mr and Mrs. Eh in Christman, of Menomonee f alls. Wisconsin, to Indian ipolis on Thursday. Februan 24. for the funeral sen ices of their brother-in-law, Mr. Bud 1 and Mr and Mrs Calvin Kronk re turned home Wednesday of last week from a two week vacation spent in Florida They sisited with his brother, Mr and Mrs. Clyde Krank in Dade City and they Uxik several little trips and visits with Mr and Mrs Gerald Stump and Mr and Mrs Fred Miller who were in Florida for the winter. They were sight seeing at Lake Wales and Great Masterpiece Gardens near Winter Haven. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Dickson, of Koontz Lake, were Mr. and Mrs. William Dickson. Jr., and family, of Niles. Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Trinkaus and family, of Glenview, Illinois; and Mr. Joe Banks, of Elkgrove. Illinois. This was a belated birthdas dinner celebration for four of the group which was to be held earlier but due to the bad weather was cancelled. A delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings was served at noon. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Elder came home on Thursday of last week from a three week vacation in the south which they said they found the weather very pleasant. Most of the time was spent in Florida but on the way down they stopped in Plains. Georgia, where they said parking was at a premium and cars from all over the United States were there. In Florida they called on Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hostetter at Leigh High Acres and visited other places of interest including Disney World and Lake Worth. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Baker and family, of Bremen, and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baker were Sunday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baker in celebration of Carla Baker's birthday. Mrs. Bertha Urbin and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baker were Saturday afternoon visitors with Mrs. Wilma Hockett in LaPorte.

Mr and Mrs Lloyd Taylor, of South Bend, were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr and Mrs. Amos Bicrly. Mr and Mrs. Jim Capek, Jr., returned home on Wednesday evening from a three week vacation spent in Florida They spent most of the time in Avon Park but visited with friends in Fort Myers Beach and called on other Indiana folks that are spending their winter in the south. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shinn came home from Pine Island. Florida. where they had been vacationing. which is close to Fort Myers. They left on their vacation on January 3. They made calls on several Indiana people while there and visited with Dr. and Mrs. V. B. Wolfe, in Sebring. A birthday dinner was enjoyed on Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herald Hostetler in honor of their birthdays. The occasion was planned and managed by his mother. Mrs. Fritz Skinner, with the help of the Hostetler children. Guests were Fritz Skinner. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hostetler and Jennifer, Mr. Gordon Hostetler and Billie Jo. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hostetler and two daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bromley and son. all of W'alkerton and Mr. and Mrs. Pat McNorton and two daughters, of Elkgrove Village. Illinois. There were two beautiful decorated birth day cakes for the honored couple. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wolfe and son. Bill, of Park Forest. Illinois, were here Saturday to spend the day with Mrs. Glen Walz. Mrs. Elsie Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cripe, of South Bend, returned home last week from a couple of months vacation. Mrs. Johnson visited and made her stay with her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Stahly and son. in Jacksonville. Florida, while the Cripes went father south. While in Florida Mrs. Johnson became a greatgrandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Stahly's daughter, Susie, and her husband. were the proud parents of a baby boy. Mr. and Mrs. James Capek, Sr., were in Nekoosa. Wisconsin, Sat-

urday and Sunday for a surprise birthday party for Mr. Capek's father, who was KO years old. A birthday celebration was held on Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gale Shcrland in honor of Mr. Shetland' birthday w hich is on February 29. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Barry Biederspade and family. of Michigan City, and Mr and Mrs. Chuck Sherland and family, of Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shogren were up to Grosse Isle. Michigan to spend a couple of days with their son Richard and family. While there they attended a farewell party for their grandson. Kevin, who has enlisted in the Air Force and is leaving this week for San Antonio AFB in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Jacob returned home from a ten day vacation in Bradenton, Florida, where they visited his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jacob, who spends the winters there. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson were in Howell. Michigan a couple days last week to visit their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Johnson, and to attend a basketball game in w hich their grandson is on the team. On Sunday Mrs. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson and family went to Peru to visit Mr. and Mrs. Wally Johnson. Last Thursday the follow ing local people came home from an eleven day trip with the major part of the time spent in Hawaii and the remaining four days in Las Vegas, Mrs. Dorothy Flaughcr, Mrs. Norma Dill, Mrs. Hazel Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Northam and Mrs. Robert Erdelyi. MEETING SET The Oregon Township Homemakers Cub will meet on Tuesday, March 8 at 12:00 noon, slow time, at the Koontz Lake Conservation Cub. FILM SHOWN AT MEETING The ACLD meeting held on February 14 at 7:30 p.m., in the State Exchange Bank building. Plymouth. found members viewing the film, "Visual Perception And Failure To Learn." The film dealt with children learning to make their numbers and following dot to dot. All parents of slow learning children are invited to our meetings which are held on the second Monday of each month.
