During the night a heavy snow storm blew in. and in the morning all roads were dogged. He had to break an attendance record of more than three years at church without missing a Sunday. The boy was Wesley Brubaker, and his home church was the Hollidaysburg. Pa Church of the Brethren But he did get back to church the following Sunday, and he has been to church every Sunday since. Next Sunday he hopes to finish 50 years of perfect attendance. Wesley grew up on a small farm in Pennsylvania, but he felt called to be a minister. He was fortunate enough that when he had to have surgery he was able to follow this principle. In the 50 years he has had his tonsils. appendix and gall bladder removed. but still was able to go to church. He has not been particularlv interested in setting records. He says he gix*s to church because he likes to. He commented to some of his friends that if all his civil rights were to be taken from him but one. the right to go to church every Sunday would be the one he would choose to keep, for this would give him the strength to face the loss of all the others. He invites all his friends to worship with him next Sunday if thev have no other place to worship. He will be speaking at 10:00a m at the Wav side Chapel on the subject.
