CARRY-IN DINNER AND PROGRAM ENJOYED On Monday, October 4. the Senior Fellowship Group met at 6 o'clock in the Walkerton Community Building for their regular carryin dinner and special evening of entertainment. The new president. John Muchowicz. welcomed everyone and thanked Elsie Elder for her conscientious work on behalf of the club the last two years, which included a very interesting float in the Bicentennial parade. The program for the evening was given by the exceptional Cummins Family of South Bend. After our usual excellent dinner. Reverend Destcr Cummins, his wife Barbara and their four children entertained us with piano duets, singing and a variety of musical arrangements. They certainly put a song in our hearts! The attendance prize was won by Mrs. Fern Kemp. Guests were Mrs. Eva Lemert and Mr. John Sherrill, of Plymouth and Mrs. Hazel Flowers. Mrs. Philip Waldron reminded everyone that on Monday, October 11. flu shots would be given in North Liberty at the REAL Services Center and she suggested everyone get this protection. Mr. Muchowicz said anvone needing transportation were to meet at the Community Building at 12 noon and rides would be arranged. Hostesses for the evening were Dorothy Walsh. Helen Pogtxizinski with many other ladies assisting with the necessary pitcher work. Mrs. Esther Kaufman will againbe sending cards to those who are ill or hospitalized and should be informed so it will be taken care of immediately. Please get in touch with her should anyone need the cheery assurance we send. Hostesses for the Monday. November 1 meeting will be Weltha Burnside. Emihe Harlozinski and Fern Kemp. This will be a fun evening with a Halloween Hard l imes Party planned, so members come dressed for such an occasion. Following the business the meeting adjourned, everyone visited with the delightful Cummins family and expressed their appreciation of the program. Reverened Cummins gave the closing prayer and thanked everyone for an evening of friendship and fellowship.

HOWARD T. DECKER Howard T Decker. 67, of 911 Tyler Street. Walkerton, died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday. October 2 in the LaPorte Hospital after a sixmonth illness. He was born December 5, 1908. in Starke County and had lived in Walkerton the past 11 years coming from East Chicago. He was married to Helen Marcile Ruby, who survives, along with three sons. Charles Decker. Walkerton, Frederick Decker, of Traveler's Rest. South Carolina, and Jack Decker, of Wenatchee. Washington; two daughters. Miss Beverly Decker, of Merrillville, and Mrs. Sandra Hayden, of Niles; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lila Marshall, of Mishawaka and Mrs. Ethel Berger, of Florence. Oregon. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. October 5. at the Nusbaum Elkin Funeral Home. Walkerton. Bunal followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Walkerton. Mr. Decker was a retired car penter for the Inland Steel C orporation of East Gary.
