Mr. and Mrs. Ed Klopfenstein and daughter Donna and Mr. George Matx were in Union Bridge Maryland to attend the golden wedding anniversary of Rev. and Mrs. Hays Logan, who was a former minister of the First Brethren Church in Teegarden. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Grenert and Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Skinner entertained with a pot luck dinner in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grenert on Saturday evening for the following guests. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pogodzinski. Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Burnside. Mrs. Dorothy Walsh. Mr. and Mrs. Clell Fouts. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Waldron. Mr. and Mrs. George Pfeiffer, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Don Teeter. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sheneman. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stoneburner. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Thaver, Mrs. Etta Mae Milner. Mrs. Alta Bowers and Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Elder. A bountiful dinner was served to help celebrate the birthdays of five of those present. Mrs. Burnside. Mrs. Skinner. Mrs. Grenert, Mrs. Waldron and Mrs. Bowers. A large birthdav cake was also enjoyed. Mrs. Bertha Urbin and her sister. Mrs. Ruth Hughes, of South Bend, spent the week end at Columbia City as guests of Mrs. D’Maris Met/ger. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Rensberger. of Lansing Michigan, and Miss Blanche Rensberger. of Santa Ana. California, are here in the Walkerton area visiting relatives and friends. Florida, spent several days with Mr. Cox's grandmother, Mrs. Newton Williams. Mrs. Lucile Ward came home Monday from a week end stay in Fort Wayne visiting her cousin. Mildred Bowman, and other relatives. Mrs. Fayette Dunn returned Sunday evening after a week's stay in Riverdale with Mr. and Mrs. James Rook and from Thursday till Sunday in South Bend with Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Dunnuck. Mrs. Roy Newell and Mrs. Charles Long will be serving as hosts for the Koontz Lake Conservation Club dinner this Saturday evening at the club house. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ullery were in Fort Wayne Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. John Kiracofe and family. Mrs. Mary Dobbert, of Crete. Illinois, spent several days here last week with Mrs. Ellen Brede at Koontz Lake. Labor Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eddinger and familv were Mr. and Mrs. Allan Eddinger. Stacy and Shawn, Mr. and Mrs. Colin Eddinger and Holly. Miss Marcia Albert and Mr. Oscar Hoover. In the evening Mrs. Thelma Watts was a caller. Mr. Oscar Hoover, of Williams-

port, Pennsylvania, is spending a few days here with his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eddinger and family. He states that he really enjoys Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Klinedinst celebrated the September birthdays of Sherry and Mike Klinedinst with a cook out on Labor Day. Guests were their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Klinedinst and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Ream and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jimmerson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schultz and family were honored over the week end by a surprise visit from Randy Cripe and friend. Ray Ford, of Whittier, California. Winnie Schultz, who was seven years old on Saturday, thought this was the best birthday surprise any young lady could ask for. Randy Cripe is Winnie's godfather. Randy is a former Walkerton resident and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cripe. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Doll and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Klinedinst were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stephenson, in Galveston. Indiana. Mr. Howard Decker is in the intensive care unit at LaPorte Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Awald spent the week end with their son at his cottage at Baldwin Lake, Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Stull and family were in Terre Haute for the holiday week end to visit her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Herb’ert Holsinger. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Hiler, of Atlantis. Florida, were in Walkerton a few days last week visiting relatives and friends. Dr. and Mrs. Robert Fcnstermacher and family were in Upland. Indiana over the holiday week end. W'hile there they were guests in the George Fenstermacher home. Their trip was made to take Heidi, who is a junior at Taylor University, back to school and also to enroll their son Edward, who will be a freshman at the University. While they were there Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Owen, of Indianapolis, and Mr. Dan Owen, of Guatemala, came to be with them and having the family gathering made the holidays a real pleasant time for all. Some of the local citizens in hospitals are K. C. Chapman. LaPorte. William Dickson, of Koontz Lake, LaPorte, and Mrs. Al Drews. Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hostetter spent the week end in Morton, Illinois, visiting their son, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hostetter and family. Mr. and Mrs. William Nesbitt, of Carmel. Indiana, spent a few days here last week with her partents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Mullet. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Nesbitt, Mr. and Mrs. Mullet. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Jacobs, of Angola, Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Ramer and family, of Goshen, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Jacob. This gathering was in honor of Glenn Jacob's birthday.
