WALTER L. KAISER Walter L. Kaiser. 71, route 1, Walkerton, died at his home at 7:15 a m. Wednesday after a sevenmonth illness. The son of Albert and Cora Walters Kaiser, he was born March 28, 1905, at LaPaz and was a lifetime Marshall County resident. On February 28, 1925, he was married at Tyner, to Lillian Devine, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Evedene (Mrs. Jack) Wilhelm, of Plymouth; Robert Kaiser, of Walkerton; Keith Kaiser, Bremen; and Harold Kaiser. of Mishawaka; one brother. Elmer Kaiser, of Plymouth; one sister. Mrs. Lavina Amm, of North Liberty; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 21 at the Johnson Funeral Home, Plymouth, with the Rev. James Price, pastor of the Teegarden United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was at the Center-Polk Cemetery. Mr. Kaiser was a retired fanner and a member of the Teegarden United Methodist Church. EVELYN TIBBS Evelyn (Saylor) Tibbs, of Rt. 1, died at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 16, at St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, after an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Tibbs was bom June 30, 1927, in Walkerton and was married May 9, 1946, in Knox, to Grant Tibbs, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Henry, of Ply-

Ist class, Harry, of Germany, James and Francis, both at home; five daughters, Mrs. Lila Cornelius and Mrs. Cathy Dickson, both of Hamlet, Mrs. Doris Ross and Mrs. Jackoline Shedrow, both of Knox, and Mrs. Debbie Wogman, of Plymouth; two stepsons, Harold Tibbs, of Darrien, 111., and Paul Tibbs, of Beverly, Mass.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Edna Mae Shelton, of Imperial Beach, Calif.; one brother, Eurrat Saylor, of Grovertown; and four sisters, Mrs. Louis Burnham, of Wanatah, Mrs. Alida Gouker, of North Liberty, Mrs. Amelia Meyers, of North Judson and Mrs. Vialetta Mueller, of Hanna; 12 grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 20 at the Bible Baptist Church, Knox, of which she was a member, with Rev. Luther Lykins and Rev. Leonard Jackson, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. SIX REUNION The eighth annual Six reunion was held on Sunday, August 8, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Loy Shoemaker, North Liberty, with 84 attending. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Grayston Shoemaker, of Marysville, Washington. The oldest member present was Mrs. Hazel Reed, of South Bend, and the youngest was Jennifer Dittmar, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Dittmar, North Liberty. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Six will be in charge of the reunion for 1977, to be held at the home of their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Don Danner, of Bremen, Indiana. Due to the absence of the president Floyd Dipert and the death during the year of the vice-presi-dent, Foster Barden, the business meeting was conducted by Ruby Snyder and Sylvia Holland. Officers elected for next year are Lloyd Barden, Fort Wayne, president; Sylvia Holland, Walkerton, vicepresident; and Marilyn Reed, Knox, secretary and treasurer.
