Mr. and Mrs. Lee Crawford, of Lakeville, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Crawford, of near Walkerton, called on Mr. and Mrs. Claude Shenenian Sunday afternoon after having enjoyed a picnic dinner out in the rest park on Road 4 which is now open to the public. Mrs. Zelpha Walsh, of Clearwater. Florida, is visiting her daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Steele and Jill. Mrs. Edna Kane was a guest at a dinner for officers at the American Legion Home. North Liberty, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Reed, of Lakeville, called on her grandmother. Mrs. Martha Taylor, on Saturday. Mrs. George Krueger. Mrs. Ray Bergland. Mrs. James Plunkett and Mrs. Alfred Alsop, all ot North Liberty. Mrs. Robert Graychow ski, of Niles. Michigan. Mrs. Dale Newland and Miss Norma Jean Heim, of South Bend, and Mrs. Paul Shoemaker, of Logansport, spent the week end in Chicago sightseeing and shopping. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Shenenian and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stoneburner called on Mr. and Mrs. Chester Thayer on Monday evening. Mrs. Thayer is much improved from the block clot in her leg and is now able to walk around some on it. Rev. and Mrs. William Thomas, of Loree. Mrs. Fred DeCoudres and Mrs. Earl Packer spent several days last week with the formers cousin, Mrs. Evelyn Horrell, in Indianapolis. On Tuesday they helped Mrs. Horrell celebrate her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kurzhal visited his brother. William Kurzhal. last Friday in Memorial Hospital. South Bend. Sunday afternoon visitors of Mrs. Edith Steele were Mrs. Zelpha Walsh, of Florida, and Mr. Clyde Steele and Jill. Mr. and Mrs. James Tylavsky, of South Bend, are the parents of a son born Sunday, June 27. Mrs. Tylavsky is a granddaughter of Mrs. Esther Harman. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mains, of Homer, Michigan, and Mrs. Harry Trickel. of South Bend, spent Sunday with Mrs. Fred DeCoudres. The group attended “I Love America" Bicentennial cantata at the North Liberty High School.
