Fifty-eight relatives and friends gathered at the Walkerton Community Building on Sunday for a jay of visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schultz and family and Mrs. ■nd Mrs. Douglas Schultz. Scott l( nd Crystal, of Tuscon. Arizona. Ihe Schultzes will be leaving on May 2 for their homes in Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Murphy accompanied their son, Michael, Hid his family, of Louisville. Kenucky. for a two week vacation in litusville. Florida and were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Wine, former Walkerton residents. Ihe James Johnsons being the parents of Mrs. Michael Murphy and the Hugh Wines being her grandparents. The Murphys also spent two days visiting Mr. Murphy's mother, Mrs. Thomas o’\eil, in Leesburg. Florida. Many points of interest were enjoyed inluding Disney World. Silver springs and the J. F. Kennedy space Center. On Easter Sunday the group was joined by three other Johnson girls, Andrea, Susan and ( indy and their families, from Menbourne and Gainsville Florida, a here a picnic was enjoyed in a nearby park. The remainder of the time was spent fishing and basking n the beach in the warm sunshine. Mr. Loren and Miss Vicki Capek ade a trip home on Wednesday vening of last week to surprise heir parents and to help them celerate their 25th wedding annivertry. The Capek family and Mr. md Mrs. James Capek. Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald, njoyed the evening with dinner at he Ice House, Mishawaka, and the mainder of the time visiting. Visitors in the Harold Rensberer home this week were Mrs. H> rtha Shupers, of North Liberty; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Rensberger, ( ambi and Jeff, of Roann; and Mrs. Lucile Ward. Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Richard Murphy entertained their laughter. Norma, and her husband it the Boar’s Head, in South Bend. ie occasion being Norma's birthlav. On Saturday the Richard Murphys spent the day in Fort aync visiting with friends. Church missionary meeting at the Salem Chapel United Methodist Church. On Saturday afternoon Miss Bierly was in North Judson where she and Miss Helen Conrad entertained Mrs. Gladys Gilfoy for her birthday with a dinner. A birthday dinner last Thursday evening was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wiegand and sons honoring Mrs. Weigand's father. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lowry and son. Mrs. Phil Brandt and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gentry, of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Butch) Smith and family, of Bourbon, were Sunday visitors with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kerchaert. Other afternoon and evening guests were Mrs. Mary and Sylvia Shirk, of South Bend and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hostetler, of North Liberty. Miss Dora Faith, of Laconia, Indiana, is here visiting in the home of her sister. Mrs. Jacie Radmacher. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shogren, of Koontz Lake, returned the latter part of last week from a months vacation in Dearborn. Michigan, where they visited with their son. Richard and family and from there they flew to New Jersey for a visit with another son. William and family. Mrs. Lucile Ward was in Fort Wayne several days last week to attend the funeral services of a cousin. Mr. Ralph Row man. Lt. Col. Jerry Rice, stationed in the Air Force at Colorado Springs, Colorado, was a week end guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Chapman. Lt. Rice was a former Presbyterian minister here and he was here for the Centennial celebration of the First United Presbyterian Church. Walkerton. Mrs. Beulah Fetterhoff and her grandson, Richard Fetterhoff, of Winona Lake, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. K.('. Chapman. Mr. and Mrs. James Murphy, of Evergreen Park. Illinois, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Murphy. on Mondav Mr. ami Mrs. Donald Sheaks. of Darien. Illinois, and Mr and Mrs. Grant Bellinger were dinner guests in the ( harles Bellinger home on Sundav. Westmont, Illinois, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pevitts, of Tinley Park, Illinois, and all the grandchildren with their husbands and wives on their 55th wedding anniversary with a dinner at Salerno on the Fox River at St. Charles, Illinois. 1 hey were presented with a money tree with 55 silver dollars. After dinner all went to the home of a granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Semiets, in West Chicago, for cake and coffee. A nice time was had by all. After a pleasant week end. a granddaughter. Mrs. James Stotz and sons James. Jr. and Steven, of Carpentersville. Illinois. drove the Barnharts home and spent the week with them. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Smith, of Gary, Indiana, were visitors one day last week with Rev. and Mrs. John Goodpasture. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ullery were in Dowagiac. Mich.. Saturday, to spend the day with Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hoover. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardner visited his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Gardner, in Union Mills Sunday. His parents had just returned from their winter’s stay in Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Cover came home last Friday from a week’s vacation in North Carolina, on a sightseeing spree. They were particulars impressed with the Vanderbilt Home at Buildmorc. North Carolina. They also made a stop over at Gatlinburg. Tennessee. which they enjoyed. Mr. Ricky and Rodney Smith, of Crestwood, Illinois, were here last week to visit their grandmother. Mrs. Russell Smith, of Koontz Lake. Mrs. Smith took them back home Friday and over the week end she visited other relatives in Glen Ellyn and Elmhurst. Illinois. Dr and Mrs. V. B. Wolfe, of Sebring. Florida, came last week because of the death of her brother. Raymond Hornung. While here thev are staving with Mrs. Glen Walz and on Friday Mr. and Mrs leil Wolfe, of Park Forest. Illinois, came to attend the funeral services of Mr. Hornung. On Friday evening, led Wolfe and Dr. Wolfe attended an alumni meeting of Dr. Wolfe's class at Purdue. Sundav visitors with Mrs. Fayette Dunn were her son Pete and wife, of Goshen. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Dunn and family, ol Lafayette. and Mrs. Robert Gore, of Crete. Illinois. Mrs. Robert L. Flanegin, the daughter of Mrs. George R. Lanphere. of Koontz Lake, visited her mother last week. Mrs. Flanegin is on home leave between her husband’s foreign service assignments in Paramarilo. Surinan and Suza. Fiji.
