Park Board To View Futuristic Look of Town Take a futuristic look at Walkerton thru the eyes of seven fourthyear architect students at Notre Dame University when you view the sketches placed in Heil's Restaurant windows and the town clerk-treasurer's office window. These sketches as well as the professor of the class will be on hand at the next Park and Recreation Board meeting set for Wednesday evening, April 28, at the Walkerton Community Building, corner of Ohio and Washington Streets, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Coffee and donuts will be served. The students chose our town for their project and have come up with their ideas. A green area down Van Buren Street changed from concrete to cobble stone with a pedestrian walkway connecting Place Park and a proposed park at the end of Georgia Street including a lake would resemble an outdoor mall type effect. The downtown area is proposed to encompass a new governmental building, library and community center. There is more and they can be seen at the meeting on Wednesday night. April 28. at 7:30.
