North Liberty Methodist Choir Plans Musical I he North Liberty United Meth odist ( hurch choir has started re hearsals tor the musical "I Love Amenia" Ihe musical bv John W Peterson and DonWvrtzen is written about our countrv I he choir wishes to invite interested singers in ihe community and surrounding churches to share and take part in this beautiful musical. High sihiM>l couth singers arc also welcome to come join Ihe tentative date tor the performance is set tor Sunday evening. June 27. A number ot rehearsals will be held on Sunday afternoon at the United Methodist Church in North Liberty Ihe first Sunday afternoon rehearsal will be held /April 4 al 2 .Mi pm. Interested singers are urged to attend this rehearsal so that organization and plans can be made for the presentation in celebration ot our country ’s Bicentennial A Bicentennial committee has been set up and is making plans tor various activities to take place during the year. Plans are also being made tor an instrumental group to accompany the choir tor this exciting musical. Additional books will be provided and can be purchased if so desired.

“I Love America" is a musical in three sections. The first section, "Patriotism for America" relates our love for this land and recounts some ot its history. The second section, "Praise for Ameria" is a musical tribute to our country and to its flag. The final and third section, "Prayer for America" presents a plea for the future of our country and that the United States of America will turn back to its spiritual foundations and to the living God of the universe. The composers state their personal prayer is that this work will bring glory to God, and w ill stir and move the hearts of those who perform and those who listen. If you would like to help celebrate the birthday of our nation, come share in this glorious musical. It is our desire to have the entire community benefit and enjoy this presentation. May we be unified in a time of sharing and caring for one and all. further dates will be announced tor rehearsals. Rev. Swanson To Conduct Special Revival Services Special Bicentennial Revival Meetings are being held Tuesday, March 30 through Sunday . April 4 at the Wesleyan Church, Walkerton. Rev. E. C. Swanson, a general evangelist in the Wesleyan Church will conduct this series of services. Pastor and Mrs. Gilkerson are arranging the music. Services begin each night at 7:00 p.m. and at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. All people of the community are invited to attend these meetings and be blessed in a spirit of revival.
