$2,800,238.50, $1,460.00 went to the General Fund, $123,66.00 went to the Commission on Alcolholism, $985,724.38 went to the Department of Public Instruction, and $1,571,469.12 went to cities and towns in Indiana. In making the announcement. Sims said “we are extremely glad to have realized a goal of this Commission since it took office under Governor Bowen in January of 1973. At that time the Alcoholic Beverage Commission was anywhere from twelve to eighteen months late in making this important distrlibution of monies to the various agencies in Indiana.
