The local Tri Kappas are in charge of the library Saturday morning storyhour held every week from 10:30 to 11:30 with members reading along with the Girl Scouts and Theta Rho Girls of Walkerton sharing turns. The two readers on this particular Saturday were Lora Searfoss and Donna Laßere, both members of Theta Rho. New books for children are always read at this time and they have a treat and color for 15 minutes at the end of the hour. Greg Aldrich On European Tour Greg Aldrich is currently touring several countries in Europe as a member of the United State Collegiate Wind Band. The band is comprised of 111 young muscians from 37 states. The players were selected by the Conductors, Al and Gladys Wright and their staff, on
the basis of maturity and musicianship. Most of the players were first chair performers in their high school hands and nearly all were members of All-State Bands or Orchestras. The United States Collegiate Wind Band will visit and give concerts in London. England; Cologne and Munich. Germany; Innsbruck. Austria; Venice and Florence. Italy; Lugano and Lucerne. school years he participated in local and state solo and ensemble con tests, was a member of the school concert, stage and marching bands, and a member of the Indiana All-State Band. He received the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. He is playing bassoon in the United States Collegiate Wind Band, although most of his high school experience was with saxaphonc.
