Rev. and Mrs. Franklin Bruce of the Ridgedale Presbyterian Church were the honored guests at dinner at the Koontz lake home of Rev. and Mrs. Robert C. Bowman, luesdax evening. Rev. Bruce is retiring after 40 years in the Presbyterian Ministry. 22 years at Ridgedale. Other fellow guests joining in the celebration were the Rev. and Mrs. John Goodpasture. Rev. and Mrs. William Vanos of Elkhart. Rev. and Mrs. Stuart Baxter and Rev. and Mrs. led Kelley of South Bend along with Rev. and Mrs. Larry Bcntelle of Granger. Friday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Urbin were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith. I he Clarence Wilsons of Koontz I ake. had as their recent overnight guests. Mr. and Mrs. David I hompson of Hclren. Illinois, and Mrs. Agnes Baumann of Western Springs. Although they all have traveled extensively here and abroad, they were delighted and impressed with the many interesting landmarks of this area. Also, lor (he past week, the Wilsons have been entertaining their daughter.

Jackie has been spearheading remedial reading courses for the past several years in one of the south suburban school districts of the Chicago area. COUNTY LINE CLUB MEETS A warm summer evening found 1 7 County Line Club members gathering in the home of Mrs. Lloyd Smith on Monday evening. Mrs. Eugene Skinner was assisting hostess. Mrs. Wilder Burnsides led a short business meeting. Different ways we might help in our Bicentennial celebration were discussed. The birthday song was sung to Mrs. Wyman Hochstetler. Two dixir prizes went to Mrs. Minnie Mikesell and Mrs. Hochstletler with a Bicentennial year coming soon, a Know Your History contest was enjoyed with winners being Mrs. Ted Hostetler and Mrs. Thomas Walsh. Also it being picnic time a contest helped us to know the things you can’t leave behind when going on a picnic. The winner was Mrs. Philip
