Tri State University. Angola. Ind. is again listening to the sounds of marching feet. Last week nearly 130 young majorettes from five area schools attended the M.A.M. A. (Mid-American Marching Association) Clinic held on the campus. The young ladies lived in the University dormitories and ate in the cafeteria. Marching and new routines were learned on the athletic grounds and the afternoons were spent cooling in the Hershey Hall swimming pool. Mrs. Florence Erickson, returned on Sunday, July 6. from the 35th Grand Assembly Order of Rainbow for Grils in Indiana, session held in the Executive Inn. Evansville. Over 1.400 girls attended the four-day session.

Walkerton girls attending were Worthy Advisor. Kathy Kersh; Sue Beem, past Grand Ambassador of Good Will; Cindy Kunkle; Mashelle Pavey; Tammy Whitteberry; Lisa Tuttle; Terri Hillman; Debbie Hillman and April Reed. Three girls. Nancy Sheneman. Worthy Advisor; Linda Good and Debbie Sheneman of North Liberty were included with the girls from Walkerton at the session. Adults attending from Walkerton were Mrs. Robert Hillman, choir mom; Mrs. Gene Whitteberry. Grand Chairman of District 26; Mrs. Alfred Drews, Deputy of District 26 and Mr. Alfred Drews, Grand Lecturer of Districts 1 and 26. Miss Cindy Kunkle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kunkle was appointed Grand Representative to Wisconsin. Nancy Sheneman of North Liberty was appointed Grand Hoosier Promise. Grand Worthy Advisor, Norma Carlson of rural Plymouth and a member of the Plymouth Assembly will hold her Assembly inspection in the John Glenn High School on Saturday. July 19. The dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. prior to the inspection. On Sunday, July 20, the Plymouth Assembly will host a reception honoring Miss Carlson at the John Glenn High School beginning at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Erickson and several girls attended the meeting of the Michigan City Assembly on Wednesday evening, July 16, with an initiation being held.
