NORTH LIBERTY BOARD NEWS The Town Board of North Liberty met recently with the request by Merlin Summers asking approval for a packing company which would employ 20 to 40 per. sons to process and sell horse, meat. Mr. Summers was advised by the board that they would approach the USDA and the EPA and the stream pollution board regarding pollution of Potato Creek before giving approval to the proposed operation of the plant. Wayne Parsons, representing a group of citizens south of North Lr erty. stated that the group would contest the proposer! annex, at ion of their property to the Town of North Liberty. RECEIVE DEGREES The seventh commencement of Purdue North Central were held on Thursday, May 11 in the Ches, terton high school auditorium. The diplomas an<l certificates were awarded to 238 students beginning at 8:00 p.m. Students who finished their work in August. 1974 and those who completed degree require, ments in December, 1974 parti, cipated in the ceremonies with the May graduates.
