Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Stull and fanuly were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. John Blackburn and family, in Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Forsen, of Ludington, 111., were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Michalski last week. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mis. Robert Schaeffer were her mother, Mis. Edith UEery, and daughter, of LaPorte. After, noon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Reed and famdy, of Bremen. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rensber. ger received word from their son Dale, who lives in Texas, that he has purchased and just opened a large dance hall in Rockport, Texa?, and if any Indiana folks come down that way be sure to stop in. This is the only dance hall in Rockport and is located at the edge of town. Bill Pay ton left last week for Michigan State University at East Lansing, Michigan, where he is a student. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Beagles were Mr. and Mrs. Marion Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Beagles and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hellinga and family, of Middlebury. This was in celebration of Tim Beagles birth, day and he is eight years old. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Podogzmski attended a birthday celebration on Sunday in the* home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs, Jim R.s. ner for their grandchildren, Tom. my James and Joy. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rosenkraaz, Jim Knotts, Mrs. Pych and grandsons Ronnie and Randy, all of LaCrosse; Mr. and Mr. Leo Podogzinski, Connie, Ken. neth and Jan; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Risner and family; Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hoffer; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ronenzak and daughter; Mr. and Mrs. Anie England and sons; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Risner and family; and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Rosier and daughter. The birthday gifts were opened ty Tommy and Joy with help from their mother and the day was a real enjoyable one for all.

I Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Hathaway, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, were Friday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Burch. James Payton was a surgical patient in the LaPorte Hospital last week. Mr and Mrs. Richard Green, of Tlobart, and Miss Paula Payton, of South Bend, were week end guests of Mrs. Payton in Walkerton. Mrs. Bess Ferverda spent the week in Orland Park, Illinois, with her son and fam.ly before leaving for her home in Florida for the winter months. On Monday night Mr. and Mrs. Lee Chapman had Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Chapman, Mr. and M.s. Douglas Brovoid and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Keeling and family in for a farewell party for Mrs. Ferverda before her departure on Tuesday. Mrs. Fern Wilkerson, of Kokomo, will accompany her on the trip to'Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hunt; Mrs. Irene Jones, of Michigan City; and Mrs. Delbert Leeper. Bremen, spent the week end in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, where they attended the wedding of Miss Kath, ryn Bussie on Saturday evening in the Lutheran Church at eight o’clock during a candlelight service. Mrs Leeper and the Hunts are g randpa rents of the br.de. Other Walkerton residents attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Craig Reed and Keith Knepper. The Johnson Township picnic was he’d on Sunday at the Johnson Twp. Community Building with 61 present. The afternoon program was given by a former resident, Mr. Frank Garab who showed pictures of his trip to Hungry. Mrs. Geneva Groshans was oldest present and Charles Daube the oldest male present. Murray Rearrick, of South Bend, came the farthest. After the picnic several people went to the home of Mrs. Tillie Hayter to surprise her for her birtrday.' Mrs. Hayter's health kept her from attending but she enjoyed the visit from her friends.

Sunday guests at the home of Mrs. Charles Bandendistel and daughter, Mrs. Margaret Finkle, were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sic. ner and new great-grandson, Alexander Nicholas Sicner, who was born on July 14 and two nieces of Mrs. Sicner from Chicago, 111., along with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bandendistel, of Fish Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Schmeltz, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Schmeltz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson, Jr., and fam. ily spent the week end camping at Playmore Park in Bremen, In. diana.
