Mrs. Edna Kane and Alice Zahn attended a bridal shower at the home of Mrs. Roger Stealey, m Lakeville, in honoi of Miss Susan Keyser, who will be mariivd on September 14 to William Kane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kane. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kaser and their 10 year old grandson, Roy Kaser, .-pent last week fishing at Hamlin Lake. Michigan. Roy was the lucky guy. he caught a 14 p 'Und musky and it was 39 inches long and the largest Mus. ky ever brought in at the camp there. Mrs. Lillian Peterson. It was Mrs. Clyde Sheneman and Nat. Mrs. Gladys Sheneman. of Lebanon. Ohio, that were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cullar. Mrs. Cullar entertained at Breakfast last Tuesday with Mrs. Alton Holmes. They also visited with Kenneth Doan in St. Joseph Hospital. South Bend. Mrs. Laura Cooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chai les Cooper, went to Davenport, lowa, last Tuesday with her great aunt. Mrs. Emil Schneckleoth. Miss Cooper and Mrs. Schneckloth then left from lowa on Wednesday for Washington. D.C. where they met Mrs. Schneckloth’s daughtei and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Mai tin, from War. i, Nigeria, Africa. Laura and her relatives stayed in Washington for four days where they took a tour thru the Capitol. They also visited Arlington Cemetery, the Kennedy graves, the Watergate Hotel, the Lincoln Memorial and many other places of interest. All had a wonderful time and will have many memories. Mrs. Don Splinter entertained at a bridal luncheon in her Park Ridge, Illinois home, on Sunday, August is at noon for Miss Jayne Buettner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Buettner, of Lombard, Illinois. Miss Buettner will become the bride of John Edward Priester, son of Mr. and Mrs John S. Pr.e.ster, of North Liberty. The luncheon table was lovely in colors of yellow and green, the bride.elect’s chosen colors for her kitchen. Each place was marked by individual yellowrose corsages. Yellow roses were used on the center of the luncheon tables as well as throughout the home. The bride received many lovely gifts for her new kitchen. Mrs. Splinter was assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Richard Gochnauer, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Other guests attended from North Liberty, South Bend and the Lombard and Park Ridge, Illinois area. Mrs. Richard Roush returned home from Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lister, of Houston, Texas, spent several days last week with the latter’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Strope and daughter have returned to their home in Bolivar.
