All friends and relatives are invited. Gus Morris and Emma Jane Simonton were married on Janu. ary 9, 1925. They have five living children, John William, Ernest. Dennis, Russell arid Janette; 14 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. No gifts have been requested, COUNTY LINE CLUB MEETS The County Line Club gathered in the home of Mrs. Edward Pogodzinski on Monday evening. August 19 with Mrs. Carl Creech as her assisting hostess. In absence of tne president. Mrs. Weltha Burnside conducted the business meeting. Plans were
finished for the group to attend the Lawrence Welk show at the Notre Dame Convocation Center. The birthday song was sung to Mrs. Calvin Kronk and Mrs. Lloyd Smith. The September meet.ng will be a carry-in dinner to te held at Stuntz Pine Forest on September Bat 12:30 p.m. Highlight of the day will be an auction sale. Those in charge of the day are Mrs. John Hathaway, Mrs. Wy. man Hochstetler, Mrs. Ervin Stuntz and Mrs. Ted Hostetler. August 7, at the new store with MahoneyMann Chev.-Olds. Co., Walkerton, sponsoring the open hou.se. Approximately 90 persons were in attendance for the sneak preview of the fine new store. Guests toured the building guided by the manager. Bob Goodwin and his wife Kathy along with Ed Walz. The catered affair by the Gardens Restaurant, Koontz Lake, was an opportunity for the people to become acquainted with the new store and to wish the owners well. SUNDAY SCHOOL DRIVE The United Pentecostal Church of Walkerton announces its full Sunday School Drive. This year's theme is World Wide Thrust Roundup. Beginmng August 25 until September 15 which is World Wide Thrust Day. Each Sunday will be different. August 25 is “Roundup The Regulars" Sunday; September 1 is "Children's Day” with Drema Tener and her Bible puppets presenting a special puppet show for all the children and a treat for all the chidren. September s is “Parents Day" and September 15 is ,‘Famiy Day" with a covered dish dinner for all after Sundayschool.
