Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Beagles accompanied by Mr. and Mrs Arthur DeMyer. visited several days last week in Ashville, North Carolina. with the former’s brother and wife. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Beagles, of Clearwater, Florida. Interesting places were visited and especially comforting was the relaxation and exhilarating feeling of the cool forest, mountains and valleys. On the return home the Ohio was ferried from Carrolton, Kentucky, to Vevay, Indiana. At Vevay they observed Richard Crenna and Lee Remick in the shooting of several scenes f ir the new movie. “A Girl Named Sooner.” The annual Vevay Summer Festival with the carnival rides, antique cars and local citizenry pi ivided the ' ackground scenes. A nice trip was enjoyed by all.

Mrs. Bertha Urbin and her sister, Mrs. Ruth Hughes, of South Bend, spent the week end near Cohimltia City with Mrs. D’Maris Metzger. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Miller, of Benton, Texas, were guests of Mrs. Ada Miller last week from Wednesday through Saturday. Air. and Mrs. Perrin Hazelton, of Lancaster, Ohio, were week end guests of Rev. and Mrs. Robert Bowman. The Hazelton's were in the former parish of Rev. Bowman. Mr. and Mis. Robert Urbin and Mrs. Bertha Urbin were in Kewanna due to the death of Mrs. David Metzger, whose funeral was on Tuesday and Mrs. Ber. tha Urbin attended. Mr. and Mrs. George Pfeiffer were in Oak Lawn. Illinois, Sunday to attend a wedding and then they went Into Chicoga to visit her’ sister Mis. Josephine Andrews, who is in a nursmg home. Visitors on Thursday and Friday of Mrs. Charles Bandendistle were Mr. and Mrs Ruesch. On Thursday they went into Misha, waka to visit with Alice and Harry Duffey and on Friday they went to Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bandendistles at Fish Lake and in the afternoon some went hhieberrv picking neai LaPorte. Mrs. Sandra Youdbulis and children and Mrs. Martha Young returned from spending four days in southern Indiana at Spring Mill State Bark and at Mrs. Young’s brother’s, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ehrhardt, at Charlestown. Mr. Bill and Albert Brenner and sister Dorothea Brenner, spent a couple of weeks at Fort Collins, Colorado, with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brenner Jr., and family. While there Charles Brenner came from Salt Lake City to spend a week with his father and the rest of the group.
