Janet. Juke and Jim and Mrs. Robert Urbin. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hunt retin :ied home on Monday after, noon of this week after a three week stay with their daughter ana family, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Bu-sie. While there Mrs. Bussie was admitted to the hospital and underwent surgery and was expec'ed to be released the first of this week. A iss Ethel Bierly took a car loan of women to the United Methodi't Women to Epworth Forrest last Wednesday to attend a day of ne School of Missions of the church. When Miss Bierly re. turned home Mrs. Gladys Gilfoy uno Miss Helen Conrad, of North judson were there to greet her it ■ meir supper prepared. Sunday evening Mrs. Ruth Clark, of Walkerton, and Miss Mabel Jack, son and her niece, of South Bend, Spent the evening visiting.

Mrs. Alta Bowers was a Sun. day visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Don. aid Lee Count in Nappanee. Also visited with a niece while there who is from Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Huffstetter and family were Sunday ev. ening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Guttman and family in Wakarusa. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shinn, of Koontz Lake, returned to their home on Sunday after a month stay in the Mayo Clinic. Mrs. Nelson Walz spent a week there with them and drove them home. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kemp were in Silver Lake on Sunday as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradford and family. Mrs. Robert Holland, of South Bend, and Mrs. Oscar Barney. Walkerton, were week end guests in the Indianapolis home of Mrs. Wallace Valentine and daughter, Patricia. On Saturday they at. tended the wedding of Capt. Charles Valentine and Bourne Rang. Cant. Valentine is sta. tiened at Fort Benjamin Har. risen and his bride is a dental technician also at the Fort.

Mr and Mrs. Harold Schweder came home last week from a va. cation in Florida. They were not visiting any particular place or persons but some of their trips were to Disney World, Tampa, Busch Gardens and Gaterland. They enjoyed the trip and the scenery. Mrs. Bess Ferverda came last week from her home in Lake Wales, Florida, to spend the sum. mer months. She will te making her stay with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Chapman. Lee entered the LaPorte Hospital on Monday of this week for observation. Mr. and Mrs. John Solmos, of Orlando. Florida, have been in the Walkerton area for a couple of weeks visiting friends and rel. atives. Monday evening they were dinner guests of Mrs. Bertha Urbin along with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur DeMygr. Albert, William and Dorothea Brenner attended the wedding of their second cousin, James Me. Kee, in Chicago Heights, on Sat. urday, June 29. Their aunt, Mrs. Caroline Hesse, who will be 91 years old in October, flew’ from Seattle, Washington, to attend her grandson’s wedding. It was a happy family reunion for all of them.

William Boelkins and his sister, Mrs. Dorothy Latiphere were in Lafayette to visit their aunts, Miss Maybelle and Martha Boelkins. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hancock, of South Bay, Florida, spent Sunday and Monday with Rev. and Mrs. Clyde Wake. Other guests for Sunday evening were Rev. and Mrs. Sam Carlton, of Elkhart. Mrs. Gus Schultz is a patient in the LaPorte Hospital due to a fall in her basement last week from which she suffered a broken leg. She was scheduled for sur. gery tl/s week as a result. Mrs. Esther Kaufman and her co-hostess, Mrs. Bernice Litchenbarger entertained the members of the Fellowship Class of the United Methodist Church on Friday evening of last week.
