but couldn't sustain anything. A more fired up Falcon defense also shut the Satellites down with one first down in this period also as neither team really threatened. The second half was a different story Glenn received the kick and Mike Flaugher gathered it in on the 11. moved up field be. hind some good blocks and finally veered left to an open field. He eluded one would be tackler with a move about the 15, and easily went m for the scor? on a thrilling 89 yard run. Gene Hockett was perfect with his conversion kick and suddenly the Falcons were really in it again. Not only did the 7 points put Glenn in the fight, but it put some fight in Glenn. Breaking the big play really charged the Falcons up and after holding the Satellites and forcing a punt, the Falcons went to work from their own 34. A couple of short runs was followed by a 13 yard strike from Flaugher to Hall. Another fiist down was gained on the next play as the same combination clicked for 10 more yards. A six yard hit by Bob Cole was followed by another pass inter, ference call trying to stop Hall. An incomplete pass was followed by Cole's 10 yard turst up the middle for a first and goal from the 9. Mike Stoneburner hit for two yards and then Flaugher put a pass in Hall's direction that a last second lunge by Schweizer allowed him to intercept to stop the drive. An instant sooner on the pass would have been six big ones. The Satellite? w r ere not out of trouble yet. They were forced to punt again and Flaugher returned the ball to the SC 26 for a first and 10. However, a third down fumble, even though recovered by Glenn lost 7 yards and on an attempted end around pass by Hall, h? was smeared for a big 18 yard loss in a desperation Try to wiggle free. This not only gave South Central the ball, but also some momentum which the Falcons had gained this half. A lot of hard hitting followed, but no serious threats of scoring and the score held at 12-7. Shamrocks Win NSC Game Over Fairfield 23-13 The North Liberty Shamrocks spotted Fairfield a pair of touchdowns and then battled back for a 23-13 victory to stay right in the thick of the Northern State Conference race thanks to New Prairie’s big win over Jimtown Friday night. Doug Swinehart capped the drive from four yards out with the touch, down run and Dale Sark booted the extra point for a 7-0 lead. The next time Fairfield got the ball, they scored again and once more it was Doug Swinehart on a short run, this time a one yard effort. Sark missed his attempt at the extra point but a 13-0 deficit stared the Shamrock? in the face. The Shamrocks did cut this to a small margin before halftime as Jay Scott moved the team down for a score with the touchdown coming on a 22 yard pass from Scott to Randy Reeder. A run by Dave Sheaks gave them two on the conversion and all of a sudden the difference was less than a touchdown, 13-8. The Shamrocks didn’t move the ball consistently, but their defense aided the offense greatly

by giving them the ball sevei times on turnovers, five by pass interceptions and twhee with sum. ble recoveries. The lead was gained in the third quarter for good as Scott finished a drive by carrying in from the tw’o. Again a two point conversion by Sheaks put the Shamrocks up by three 16-13. The final score of the night came in the last period as once again the combination of Scott to Reeder connected for a 36 yar pass and run score. Scott then kicked the extra point and a lead of 23-13 was gained, forcing the Falcons to score twice to get back in the game. The defense took care of that and the final score had already been set.
