Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Jacob and Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Jacob arrived home on Sunday evening from a two week vacation to the west of the United States. On their trip some of the places they visited were Mt. Rushmore, a trip down the Snake River where they saw the Grand Tetons, then to San Francisco and down the wt st coast stopping at many places of interest. They went through the beautiful Redwoods and over to Las Vegas and on to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they could visualize the Mexican way of life and some of the Mexican food. They report a wonderful in, beautiful scenery and a most enjoyable two weeks. James E. Niemaslk. Ice cream was served to the group in the afternoon. ST. PATRICK WOMEN’S 1 CU B TO MEET St. Patrick Women's Club of Walkerton will meet on Thursday. October 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the school hall. Members should note the departure from the usual Wed. nesday meeting. This gathering will feature the installation of the 1973-74 officers in a candlelight ceremony. New officers are president, Mrs. Alex Laskowski: vice-presi-dent, Mrs. Fiank Jackson; secre. tary, Catherine Keefe; and treasurer. Mrs. Al Klinger. The speaker for this event is Father John Vandenßossche, CS C. He will relate his experiences as a teaching missionary in Dacca. Bangladesh. Father Vandenßossche was raised in St, Matthew's Parish.
