Miss Tracy Noel returned, to her home in Goshen after visiting with her grandparents, Mr, and Eldon Clark. Mrs. Mable Humes spent several days last week with her friend/ MrS. Gladys Gilline, in Rochester. Mrs. Fred Hanson of South Bend, and her mother, Mrs. Albine Lang, of Vienna, Austria, were Sunday evening visitors of Mrs. Addie Hanson. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Guyse, of California, visited with Dola Hocker, on Saturday, August 11, and had lunch with him at the Walkerton Nursing Home. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Sweitzer and children, of Parker, Arizona, who had spent a week with Mrs. Sweitzer’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hany Clark, left for Hill Point. Wise., to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sweitzer, before returning home to Arizona. Lloyd Killian, of Walkerton, was a rerent guest of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Arno Reed and Mr and Mrs. Harry Clark called on Mrs. Ricie Shaffer in Buchanan, Michigan, last Saturday. Mrs. Shaffer is a cousin of Mr. Clark. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Scember, of Lake Worth, Florida, were recent guests in the Palmer Snyder home and visited other relatives. Mrs. Scember was the former Rowena Ervin, of North Liberty, and she is a niece of Mrs. Sny. der.
Mrs. Martha Taylor is spending this week with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs., Harold Craft and family, in South Bend. Captain Richard Dixon, of Ft. Benning, Ga., spent several days this week with his mother, Mrs. Alma Dixon, New Road. Capt. Dixon is being transferred to Ft. Harrison Indianapoks. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Huhnke and girls. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Clark and Bruce, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Clark and daughter were Sunday, August 5, guests of Mr. and Mrs. David Clark and daughter. The birthdays of Mr. and Mrs. Clark were celebrated with cake and ice cream being served. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sims Sr., spent several weeks with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Workman, in Sharpsville, Ind. Rev. Kent Bennett, of Mauer, town, Ve^, will be the guest speaker at the First Brethren Church on Sunday, August 19 at 9:30 a.m. church service. Mr. and Mrs. Walter St rope attended a birthday party Sunday for their grandson, Kevin Strope and it was his first birthday. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Strope, Chicago. OBSERVE ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ogle, route 1, Walkerton, who were married on August 1, 1948, observed their 25th wedding anniversary on August 5 with a cany in dinner given by their daughter, Sandra Ogle. Their son, Pfc. Randy Ogle, who is stationed at Fort Polk, La., was unable to be home but called later in the evening. The honored couple were also belled and taken to North Liberty and were wheeled in a wheel barrow down main street. When

Mrs. Emma Zigler, Mrs. Arminta Vermillion and Mr. Eli Moon will be honored at a party on Thursday evening, August 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the lounge. The Dixie Walkers Square Dance Club will dance for our pleasure. Refresrments will be served. Come join the fun and wish our honored guests a happy birthday. Last Thursday was a big day for three of our residents, Mr. Lloyd Killian, Mrs. Mrytle Slick and Mrs. Bernice Picard, who with Mrs. Jim Patterson and Mrs. Jo Drews, traveled to Amish Acres to the Art Festival. exhibited and sold crafts they had made. Walkerton Nursing Home sold many lovely and worth, while items. Our residents had a ball visiting people, eating many goodies and enjoying the excitement of the fair. We got them back in time for dinner, tired, but happy, then Rev. Tom Jones and congregation from North Liberty arrived at 7:00 p.m. for an hour of fellowship ending a perfect day with prayer. If anyone has a nice big car and can spare a day to take more residents on outings, you would bring joy to our residents and yourself. Please contact Mrs. Drews at the Walkerton Nursing' Home.
