Pauw University recently as the boys were students of some oi the midwest’s most successful haidwoud coaches. The young men were enrolled in DaPauw’s loth annual Bask.tball and spirts camp which ended with a picnic at which honors were given on June 30. The boys were exposed to ba-ketball’s finer points offered by D?Pauw’s vats ty coach Elmer McCall, coach of two Indiana high school champions. plus Butler University's head coach and the head coach of Hammond Clark High School. Rev. and Mrs. Harold Willlams, of Elkhart, were visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Chapman and Linda for the Fourth of July. Mrs. Thelma Watts was for supper on Monday evening at the heme of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Ed. dinger and Stacy. Mr. and Mrs. Denslow Doll enteitained with a cook out and cany in dinner on the Fourth of July fur about 35 relatives. Tn the afternoon ' homemade ice ’ ci <am was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wolfe and ' sen Bill, of Park Forest, 111., and Mr. and Mr.-. Nelson Walz were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Walz. Th? occasion was in celebration of Nelson's birthday. The Presbyterian Church Choir enjoyed a picnic on Sunday at the Koontz Lak? home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Burch. Fourth of July guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jones were her blether, Bob Mellin, of Arcadia, California; Mr. and Mrs. Tom M Ilin, cf Indianapolis; Mr. and Mrs. David Mellin and Susan, of Plym> uth, another brother; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Mellin, of Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Paschen and Christine; Mis. Mart Mellin, her mother; Paula and Troy’ Bell; Angie Bcolin and Cour tuey Wagner, all of Walkerton. Week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Michal-ki, Koontz Lake, were Mis. Arthur Michalski, E.lly, Tommy and Kathy, of Baton Rouge, La., and Mr. Charles Radosta, of Lyons, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Harrison and famdy were here last week so m Orlando, Florida, to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Mi t ris and other relatives and friends. While here, Mrs. Hai risen spent part of her time in the LaPorte Ho-pital which mcluded some surgery. The families of Mrs. Mamie Hahn had a get-together in her hi me on July 4th. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Ruy Hahn Sr. and family, Leigh RoyHahn Jr. and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Malstaff and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Marv n Williams, Mr. and' Mrs. Fred WilEams and son, Mr. and Mrs. Gr gg Williams and son. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Eckhoff, of Koontz Lake, came home on Wedne-dav of last week from a three week vacation which took them on a trip to Europe. The trip was made by plane and bus trips were enjoyed to different places of interest in Europe. They were w< re in London, England; Pa: s; Italy; Switzerland; Isle of Capri and Amsterdam.
