Darren James Kherland Darren Jam-s Sherland. 12 year old son of Mi. and Mrs. Fletcher Sherland. of Koontz Lake, died at 7:00 pm. Saturday. Jun. 30. at Starke Memorial hospital. Knox, after being injured in a two car accident a few minutes earlier on U. S. 30 near Hamlet State police said Sh'rland was a passenger in an auto driven by Gary Haddon, 20. Ham. Ft. who wax treated for a back injury. Another passenger. Lon Sherland. S. was listed in critical condition at Porter Memorial Ho pit al. Valparaiso, with leg fractures and a possible head injury. Bernard Ask,ns, 57. Fort Wayne, driver of the second car, is in critical condition at Starke Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries. He had two passenger-, both of Fort Wayne and both in fair condition at the Knox hospital. Services for Sherland w re conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rannalls Funeral Home. Ham.
