Mrs. Margery Martin, of Fort Lauderdale. Fla., was a recent guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sheneman. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Roush called on Mrs. Lulu Roush and Pearl Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mis. Frank Sims Sr., called on Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Renz and family in Teegarden and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Renz and family in Walkerton Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Craft, Brian and Brent, of South Bend; Mi-. Brenda Carr and Pat, South Benn- were Saturday dinner guests of Mrs. Walter Taylor. Miss Tracy Noel, of Goshen, was a recent guest of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mangus, of Kimmel, were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Six. Singspiration at the Beaver Creek Wesleyan Church on Sunday, June 17, at 9:00 p.m. Vacation Bible School of the First Brethren Church will begin June 18 and run through June 23. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Perry and children, of Crandon, Wisconsin, were week end guests of her mother, Mrs. Florence Jones. Mrs. Esther Harman has returned home from Memoril Hospital. South Bend. Louise H. Craft Mrs. James E. (Louise Henriette) Craft. 59, route 3, Walkerton, died at 1:20 p.m. Sunday in LaPorte Hospital after an extended illness. She was born September 26, 1913 in Chicago and had lived in the area for the last 25 years coming from Riverdale, 111. Survivors include her husband,
two sons and a sister. Private services were held by Rev. Clyde Wake, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Walkerton, with interment in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum. Rev. V. L. Garner Rev. V. Leroy Garner, 79, 510 Madison St, Rochester, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Rochester’s Woodlawn Hospital, w'here he was admitted Saturday evening, after being in failing health for nine months. He had served as pastor at Pretty Lake. Donaldson, Burr Oak, Olive Branch, Rochester, Colbum, Collins and Walkerton. Rev. Garner retired 11 years ago after 41 years of service as pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Following a recent charge merger, he was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church at Rochester. His last pastorate was at Walkerton. He was born October 27, 1893, at Star City. His foster parents. Milo and Clarissa Bennett Garner, preceded him in death. Rev’.
