Mrs. Archie Brehm and Mrs. Alex Kuklnski will be hostesses for the Oregon Township Home Economics Chib which w'.ll be meeting on Tuesday, June 12, at the Koontz Lake Conservation Club House. The club is proud to announce they have made their second contribution of $-1500 to the Marshall-Starke Development Center. Mrs. Clyde Wake was recently f lected president of the Ministers Wives of the South Bend District of the United Methodist Church. Ths group meets seven times each year for programs, discuifion^ and a social hour. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson And son. of Indiatnapois, were here Sunday as visitors in the home of Agnew Ludwig and famJy. Mrs. Johnson, who had been here for the week returned home with them. Mrs. Floyd Bradford and children, of Silver Lake, spent Monday w.th her mother, Mrs. Fem Grote. Ross C. Koile, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Koile, route 3, Walkerton, was honored for his academic excellence and outstandmg conti ibutions during the juniorsenior honors banquet at Ball State University, Munc.e. recently. Ross is a junior majoring in chemistry. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mattocks, of Tucson, Arizona, were here List week to attend the graduat on of his brother, Steven, and to spend sometime with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Mattocks, and sist* r, Mrs. Gil Hughes and ether relatives. Cra.g DeMyer spent the week end at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D-Mver. He returned to Indianapolis on Sunday evening and will be working in that city. Mrs. Dav.d Lawrence was in Indianapolis last week to be in the home of Dr. and Mrs. Tom Randall while her daughter, Mrs. Randall was in Rochester, Minn., to be with her husband who is a pat .ent at the Mayo Clinic. Mr. and Mrs. John Guttpian returned home Friday from a trip to Minnesota. They attended Mr. Guttman's class alumni banquet at Shattuck Military Academy and then visited his sister in Mankoto. On the return trip they came to Milwaukee and took the boat to Ludington, Michigan and visited friends in Michigan before returnng home. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Stull and Mrs. Faye Jones and Betty returned home from a trip to Harrison, Ohio, near Cincinnati, where they had spent the Memorial Day week end with Mr. and Mrs. John Zborial and attended a ball game at Cincinnati.

Kenneth Knowlton is in the LaPorte Hospital where he underwent surgery on Fr.day. Dr. and Mrs. John Guttman and daughters, of Wakarusa, and Mrs. Bertha Urbin were Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Juhn Guttman. Mr. and Mrs Archue Brehm, of Koontz Lake, were in Chicago Saturday to attend a wedding. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Luik, of Foontz Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowlton, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Knowlton, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Knowlton, Mrs. Glen Hostetler and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ross, of Lakeville, were in Wakarusa Sunday for the 40th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Manford Freed. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baker, Mrs. Ruth Bare and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kaizer were in Mishawaka Saturday afternoon to help their sister and husband celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Foegley, of Donnell Lake, Vandalia, M.ch., celebrated their anniversary in the First United Methodist Church of Mshawaka, of which they are members. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jerome and family, of Griffith, wire Sunday visitors with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Pfeiffer. Mrs. Dorethy Walsh was also a guest. Miss Ethel Bierly, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bierly, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Whitmer and sons. Rill Bierly, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Malstaff, Union M.lls, and Mrs. Amos Bierly all helped Amos Bierly to celebrate his birthday last Friday evening with a d.nner at the Hollywood Restaurant, in Hamlet. Sunday guests of Mrs. Helen Smith, of Koontz Lake, were her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Smith, of Crestwood, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ullery and Mrs. Bob Mercer and sons. Mrs. Lucy Ullery were at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Houser on Sunday to help Patti Houser enjoy her 14th birthday. Mrs. Martha Claeys. of Mishawaka, was at Koontz Lake several days this week with her sister, Mrs. Hortense Moerman. Mrs. Jane Kuklinski and Mrs. Emma Ward will serve as hostesses for the Koontz Lake Conservation Club carry-in supper on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. A social hour will follow.
