Mrs. Roy Newell has been in Oak Park, 111., for the past week visiting with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Uhhr. The Koontz Lake Conservation Club will have their carry in eLn ner on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the club house with Mrs. George Pfeiffer and Mis. Dorothy Walsh as hostesses. They are planning some special entertainment in games and also time for visiting. Mr. David Rensberger, of Roann and Pam Ross, of Wabash, were Sunday visitors with his giandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ren-berger. There were several other callers in the afternoon and evening. Arthur Vitou, of South Bend attending. Mrs. Julius Erdelyi and son Tom had the following guests tor dinner Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Erdelyi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Erdelyi and family, Mr. and Mrs. JuLus Er delyi and family and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Erdelyi and family, of South Bend.

Sunday guests of Rev. and Mrs. Clyde Wake were Mr. and Mrs. 1 < pper Vukov.ch and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Nelson, of Hammond. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Jacobs weie in Rockford, 111., two days last week visiting with his sister and family. Mr. and Mrs. Allen V. Chapman, cf Denver, Colorado, were overnight guests of the William C. Dicksons of Koontz Lake last Thursday and Friday. Mr. Chapman was at one time with the Maxwell House Coffe Co. and he wt rk.d in this territory. While here, he enjoyed a brief visit with Nick LaFeber, one of his former customers about 30 years ago, reminiscing old times. Mrs. George Hillis spent the Easter week end in Menomonee 1 alls, Wisconsin with her sister and family. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. It teison and family in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, visiting her mother, Mis. Arthur Christman. Mrs. Gt-rge Hill.s, president of the St. Joseph County Federation cf Clubs, and Mrs. Leonard Beaty, president of the Walkerton Woman's Community Club, attended the state convention of the Fe i ration ot Clubs of Indiana in Indianapolis on Thursday and Friday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Verkier, Richard Verkier and Harry’ Verkler, of South Bend, were guests of Gus and Harry’s sister, Mrs. Lillian Clarke, in Fairbury, Illinois.

Last Friday dinner guests of Mrs. Bertha Urbin were Mrs. Carl Smith. Mrs. Ted White and Mrs. Theo Urbin, of Kewanna. Mrs. Fred Schultz and children, of Cedarburg, Wisconsin. sp. nt lit week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry’ M isterman. Terri and Tammy Masterman. of Plymouth, were also guests for Friday night and Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Agnew Ludwig returned home last Wednesday from a week visit with their son, SP4 Stephen Ludwig, Fort Lee, Va. Stephen and a friend enjoyed a home cooked Easter dinner prepared by Stephen's mother. Tile Ludwigs report that the beautiful spring weather, blooming trots and flowers made their vacation a very enjoyable one. On the.r return trip home they stopped in Columbus, Ohio and visit<d with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bi nson and stayed overnight on Tuesday with the former Walkerton residents. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Robert, of Bellwood, Illinois, sp.nt the week end here with her sister, Mrs. John Northam.
