Ice cream and cake were enjoyed. Keith and Irene Baker w?re recent guests of June and Carlisle Leslie, of Buchanan Dam. Burmt, Texas. The Bakers anti Lesl ‘S were former Walkerton residents and had not seen each other for at least 10 years. Needless to say many Walkerton friendships w< re recalled during the week end. The Leslies recently moved to Texas from California, the Bakers have returned to Texas after sp l nding seven months in Puerto Rico.
Gregg and Debbie Kelver, of LaForte. spent last week with th ir grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kelver. Mr. and Mr-. Larry Anderson and two sons were Sunday dinner guests with her parents, Mr. and Mr-. Delbert Jacobs and family. The Andersons are from Niles, Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hostetter returned Sunday from a 15 day tour of Hawaii. Mrs. Bud Hunt and her sisters. Mrs. Irone Jones and Mrs. Opal Dimmick, of Michigan City, were in Lafayette Sunday to spend the day with their mother. Mrs. Viola Emerson. A bridal shower was given Sunday in the social room of the Te< garden Brethren Church for Miss Rosalie Matz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Matz, who will become the tride of Martin Uceny, of Plymouth on May 6. The shower was given by Mrs. Judy Bowman. Miss Connie B.ggins and Diane Paterson, with 30 guests present with beautiful and useful gifts for Rosalie. Gaines were played for entertainment and prizes were g.vcn to Mrs. William Klinedinst. Mrs. David Miller and Mrs. Dale Smith. The bride’s table was decorated using the rainbow theme and punch, coffee, cake and mints were served. Mich., spent Sunday afternoon visiting his grandmother, Mrs. Mable Golden. Mrs. Floyd Whiteleather and daughter Clarrisa, were Saturday afternoon visitors of Mrs. Esther Harman. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Rizek and family have returned home from a vacation trip in Florida where they visited many sites of interest. Healthwin Hospital, South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Haskins, of Lakeville, called on Mr. anil Mrs. Herbert Kurzhal on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Albright, Edna Albright, Mis. Lester McCrosky and Mrs. Walter Slattery, all of North Liberty, along with Mrs. Ernest Goff, of Delphi, were in Kendallville Saturday to attend the funeral of a cousin, Archie Weber, who died of a heart attack while vacationing in Florida. ADVISORY BOARD MEETS The Liberty Townsh.p 4-H Advisory Board met on Tuesday evening, April 3, in the home of Mrs. John Ross with eight members present. Plans were made for a boy’s foods I project to at the home of Mrs. Osborn Fisher. Any boy not already signed up, who Is interested, should call 6568395. A special general meeting will be held in the school cafeteria on Wednesday.
