VHEkS iO MEET The first meeting of our chib will be held at the Club House in Potato Creek State Park, on November 1 at 7:00 p.m. Anyone interested in joining our club for snowmobiling and ATVs is invited to come. We will be planning our trip to Michigan at this meeting so please come prepared to sign up for this week end of snow fun. Also, any member who has received a card from the Michigan Snowmobile magazine, please call your secretary, Norma Patrick Also any member who has not sent your letter to the Department of Natural Resources, get it done. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH WOMEN MEET The general meeting of tne St. John’s Lutheran Church Women of North Liberty met on Wednesday, October 18, in the church s cial room with 18 members, one guest and seven children present. Devotions were given by Mrs. Kurt Luxnat and Mrs. William Springman. Election of officers were held vith Mrs. Orville Finch, president; Mrs. Kurt Luxnat. vicepresident; Mrs. John Nichols, secretary; and Mrs. Harold Goodling. treasurer, for 1973. Mrs. Lloyd Umbaugh led a memorial service in loving memory of Mrs. Bertha Dorsch. A report was given by Pastor Peterson on th? in-gathering of food he took to Mulberry- Home recently. Also a report was given bv Mrs. Evelyn Stephenson on the South Bend District Assembly of the L. C. W. Members were reminded that lap iibts are due at the December meeting to be taken to the nursing home for Christmas. Also an attempt to help a needy family at Christinas time was voted on. Members were also reminded of St. John's Homecoming on NovemUr 5 along with the Bake Sale scheduled for Saturday, Novt mber 18, at the Community State Bank. Two evenings next week were set aside to paint the main area of the church basement. The group voted on having new shrub-b-rv placed around the front part of the church. 4 fg MW-
