In the Minor League which has the 7, 8 and 9 year olds the winning team were the Athletics with a record of 13 wins and 2 losses. The team W’as coached by Al White and assisted by Leßuy Whitaker and Bob Candler. Players in the back row from left to right are: Jeff White, Jeif Tinkey, Mike Morris, Brett Candler, Todd Youdbulis and Dan Taylor. Front row is Tom O’Connor, Mark Whiteaker, Tony Gaw, Jerry Merkel, Tim Gaw and John Newland. On August 10 there were 125 Little Leaguers from Walkerton who went into Chicago to see the White Sox play the Boston Red Sox. The boys had fun and were well behaved during the day. At this time the Little League coaches and players would like to thank the Walkerton community for its fine support and donations this past summer. CLAUDE SHENEMANS TAKE TRIP TO CANADA Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sheneman arrived heme on Monday evening, September 4. after having spent the last five days on a Forlow Tour to Niagara Falls. stayed the first night at the Elmwood Casino and Motor Hotei in the Detroit-Windsor area. They* were entertained at a lovely dinner and floor show given by Jim Dailey and his Orchestra. The second day they arrived at Niagara Falls in the late afternoon and six’nt the evening sight seeing. The next two nights were spent at the Sheraton Brock Hotel. The third day a bus trip was taken with the tour including all around the Falls and crossed over into the state of New York. They visited Fort Riggaro, Goat Island and rode on the Maid of the Mist boat at the Falls. They ate dinner in the revolving dining room atop the Schylon Tower. They also visited the Floral Clock and ate supper at the lovely Rainbow Gardens and saw the beautiful
