Mrs. Knepp appreciated the lovely cards and gifts. Refreshments of ice cream and cake along with punch was served. On Wednesday evening, another surpt tse party was given by her children and grandchildren. Again refreshments were served. Her son Loren Knepp called from New York to wish her a happy birthday.

Mrs. Robert Clingenpeel and Mrs. Leia Grove have returned home from Fort Richey, Florida, at ter visiting their sister and family. Mr. and Mes. William Doan and family, of Monterey, California, arrived Sunday, July 2, to spend several weeks visiting Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rauen and family and Mr. and Mis. Kenneth Doan. Master Christian Walton, of Carmel, Indiana, is a guest of his grandmother, Airs. Harley Mangus, over the 4th while his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Walton, are vacationing. Recent visitors of Mrs. Addie Hanson were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hanson, of South Bend, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Folk and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beron and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hanson and family. Mr. and Airs. Maurice Quigley and Brett and Mrs. Charles Quigley were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Feldman in Mishawaka. The WMS and Laymen of the First Brethren Church are sponsoring a church picnic and pot luck supper at 6:30 on Friday, July 7, at the North Liberty park. A welcome invitation is extended to the church and friends. Lt. Robert Nottingham, grandson of the late Sophia Nottingham, and wife, arrived Sunday evening for a brief visit with the Albright and Slattery families. Lt. Nottingham is stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas.

Mrs. Mary Rickey, of Clearwater, Florida, and Mis. Delphia Harman, called on Mrs. Bertha Schrader last Friday atternoon. Mrs. Robert Bauman is a patient in the E Street Division hospital, LaPorte. She is in room 309. The Friendly Neighbors Club met at the iiome of Mrs. Clara Smith with a carry in dinner on Thursday, June 29. There were 13 members present and one guest. Airs. Mary Armstrong and daughter Sharon and friend of Lafayette, are spending over the 4th with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sims. Mrs. Roy Reamschnydir, Airs. Addie Hanson and Mrs. Mary McBride, spent last Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Harman, in Alishawaka. Air. and Mrs. Lauren Yeager and son Joe of Mishawaka, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. George Krueger. Mrs. Errol Lerch and daughters of Grovertown, spent last Monday with Mrs. Laura Ruff.
