Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sutton, of Englewood, Florida, were guests oi Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald on Tuesday of last week. Mrs. Vern Hardenbrook celebrated her 94th birthday on Sunday June 25th. She received cards and greetings from friends and eajny^d a few callers. On Wed-ne-day, her nephew Mr. Vern Hurst, wife and little daughter from ‘ San Bernadina, California, came and spent Wednesday’ evening and Thursday visiting with her. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Groshans were Mr. Harry Groshans, of Niles, Mrs. Daisy Williams, of Elkhart. Mrs. Wilma Hockett, of LaPorte, Mr. Charley Gr shans and Mr. Methel Ferro, of Sojith Bend. All came to help Mt. Dawrence Groshans celebrate hi 5 birthday.

Mr. Jerry Bradford, of Silver Lake, spent last week with his grandmother, Mrs. Fern Grote. Mrs. Dewey Lowry, of Teegarden, was a Saturday night and Sunday visitor of Mrs. George Lowry. Supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Beagles last Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hellinga, Tommy and Tammy, of Middlebury, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Beagles, Timmy and Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Anderson and Mrs. Ada Miller. The occasion was to help Norman celebrate his birthday. Overnight guests Monday, June 26 of Mrs. Mamie Hahn were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Tingling, of Modesta, California. Mrs. Tingling is the granddaughter of Mrs. Fannie Reeder. During the evening, other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller and son. Mrs. Regina Wells, Mr. Gail Malstaff and Shellie, Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Beaty. Leonard finished the evening showing slides of the Holy Land and some family pictures.

Recent visitors from Walkerton at Florida's Silver Springs were Mr. and Mrs. James Vcrkler and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Gillies. Mr. and Mrs. Dwaine Whitmer and Mis. Amos Bierly were in Chicago Sunday to spend the day with Amos at the rehabilitation center. Rev. and Mrs. Clyde Wake were called to Washington, Indiana, the fore part of last week on account of the death o f his mother. Mrs. Marie Fuller, of Akron, Ohio, is spending ten days in the home of Mrs. Julius Erdelyi and son Tom. Other guests for Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Erdelyi and daughter, of South Bend, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Erdelyi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Erdelyi, and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Erdelyi and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Clark were in Portage Sunday to attend the 50th wedding anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. Harry Curtis. They went on to Chicago to visit Mr. Clark's brother, Scott, who had been home a few days from the hospital in St. Louis. Mrs. Hortense Mooremar. And Mr. and Mrs. Edward Peterson will be hosts for the carry in dinner for Koontz lake Conservation Club members this coming Saturday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the club house. The ice cream social, bake sale and white elephant sale proved to be a real success last Sunday and plans are being made of the remodeling of the building soon. On Sunday, June 25, a pot luck dinner was sponsored by the couples club and held in the fellowship hall of the United Presbyterian Church Walkerton.
