Mr. and Mrs. James A. Wolfe of 402 N. LaFayette St. North Liberty and the groom the son of Mrs. Dorothy Kane and Ted Kane, Sr. of Griffith, Indiana. Attending the bridegroom were his brothers, Robert and Richard Kane of Griffith. Ushers were Lee Wolfe, brother of the bride, and William Sloane of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. A red and white theme was the

wedding setting. Miss Wolfe graduated from North Liberty High School and attended Indiana University at Bloomington. Her husband is attending Indiana State University at Terre Haute and will finish in August. Out of town guests were present from Texas, California, Flordia, Ohio. Illinois, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The couple will make their home in Terre Haute for the present. An evening reception was held in St. Patrick’s Hall at Walkerton, Indiana. Walkerton Cub Scout News Walkerton Cub Scouts of Pack 293 have made plans for three summer outings, Mrs. Roy Williams, den mother cheif, announced recently. The group will meet with members of their families from noon to 4 p.m. June 25 at Laßere’s miniature golf course south of Walkerton on Route 23 for a pot luck and miniature golf. On Saturday, July 15, the boys will sponsor a father-son overnight campout at Stuntz Pine Forest. Family members will join the group for a carry-in dinner at noon on Sunday, July 16. A swim session and cooperative picnic are scheduled at 1 p.m. August 27 for scouts and their families at the Shadyside section, Lake-of-the-woods. RECEIVES B.S. FROM IU KKJ Mrs. Collette Nancy Barden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weller, Rt. 2, Walkerton, received her B.S. degree in Nursing from the School of Nursing of Indiana State University at Terre Haute, Indiana. Commencement exercises were held on June 4th. Mrs. Braden will be employed at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, starting June 26th. Receives Degree From Purdue North Central One hundred ana thirty-six students at the Purdue North Central Campus received degrees and certificates at the fourth commencement exercises to be held at The Canterbury Theater on Tuesday evening, June 13. Richard G. Mehler, PNC Registration Officer, in releasing the list of graduates noted that there are three groups of candidates involved. Students who finished their work last August (1971) and those who completed their degree requirements in January (1972) will participate in the ceremonies along with the regular June graduates. With all this (and much more) support how could the Summer Festival have been anything but a gigantic success. May it thrive for a hundred years. For where else but in a parade do you see people of all ages all walks of life, all creeds, and nationalities, all religions participating in one event at one time. For where else but in a parade are all generation and communication gaps bridged by sheer enjoyment.
