with 11 members present. This meeting was called to order by the chairman, Mrs. James Campbell. The minutes of the May meeting
were read by the secretary, Mrs. Howard Wharton. Dan Roser, treasurer, gave the financial report and a report on the May fish fry. New supplies have been purchased for the use in the budding which include dishes, coffee servers, and a coffee maker. It was voted to make additional purchase of tables and chairs. It was decided the Community Building would sponsor a girl for the Tri Kappa Queen Contest for the 4th of July Parade. The board is composed of representatives from clubs, organizations, and churches in North Liberty. The next meeting will be June 27th, 7:30 p.m. due to a holiday conflict with the regular scheduled time. LISTED AMONG WHO’S WHO AMONG STUDENTS Mr. Dennis Guard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Guard, ruote 3, Walkerton, is one of three honored by being .selected to represent Anciila College, Donaldson, in the national direstory entitled Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges. Dennis was evaluated for this honor both for academic status and for projects and activities and . accepting responsibility in coordi- , nating such eve.nts are rated i highly. This type of recognition , is invaluable to the student when he applies tor employment or for admission for further education because it represents a strong statement of good leadership and character. Mr. Guard is a graduate of Walkerton High School and he is the present Student Senate president and a member of both Ancilla Drama Club and Choral Group. Guard was the major force in the design and building of the college float for the Blueberry Festival. Plymouth and has been active in the planning of both the fall and spring festivals at Anciila. He has been instrumental in initiating new ideas for student body. Guard has also received Academic Recognition for his scholastic attainment.
