Mrs. Darrell Roush is a surgical patient in the Osteopathic Hospital in South Bend. Denzil Worster and Bessie Worster returned home last Thursday from Texas where they spent the winter. • Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morehouse of Toledo, lowa were week end guests of the latters parents Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kurzhal. Other visitors were Mrs. Richard Haskins and granddaughter of Lake ville, Mr. and Mrs. James Pellow and family of Ardmore and Mrs. Walter Pellow and children of South Bend. Recent guests of Mr .and Mrs. Laßue Donathen have been Mrs. Michael Freehauf and son, Miss Judy Howell of Lakeville and Mr. Rick Harder of Tampa. Florida, Mrs. Lewis Anderson of Bremen and Mrs. Anna Graf of South Bend. Miss Beth Donathen was hostess at dinner for members of Rainbow Assembly 52 of North Liberty. Twenty-four members attended. Rainbow’ Church was also observed that day at Maple Grove United Methodist Church New Road, South Bend W’ith 30 in attendance including Beths grandmother Mrs. David Donathen North Liberty and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hildebrand and son Dale of Avon, Ohio. It was also the observance of Rainbows 50th 1 year. ।

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sorgenfrei spent Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Esther Harman. Roy Rensberger was a Friday evening supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sheneman. Mr. and Mrs. Sheneman called on Mr. and Mrs. Lee Naragon at Bremen on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Walter Worthington of New Road recently returned from a vacation trip to Disney World, Cape Kennedy and she also took a five day trip to the Bahamas. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kurzhal called on Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kurzhal, Oak Rd., last Friday. Mrs. Dwight Perry of Big Fork, Minn., Mrs. William Kurzhal of South Bend and Nellie Smith w’ere last Thursday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Taylor. Miss Liz Cromli.ch of Hanover Park, Illinois was a recent guest of Mr. nad Mrs. Glenn Zellers, Jr. and family. Mrs. Russell Clark received U’ord of her sister, Mrs. Harmon Summers, California, that she had been hospitalized after receivnig a shoulder injury in a fall. Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Mable Golden w’ere her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Truman Luke of Granger and a surprise guest was her grandson Rick Luke who was recently discharged from service in Africa.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Doan were Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Johnson and Mr. John Johnson at Talma. Mr. Ethel Surgury of Niles is spending this week with her sis-ter-in-law, Mrs. Evelyn Stephenson. Mrs. Addie Hanson was a Sunday afternoon visitor. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Spriggs, New Carlisle, are the parents of a daughter, Amy Christine, born in Memorial Hospital, South Bend on April 17. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schultz, North Main St., North Liberty. Sheryl Yoder Named New City Librarian Sheryl Beron Yoder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Beron Jr. 160 S. Maple St. North Liberty, Indiana, has been named as the new librarian at Bedford Public Library, effective July 1. Mrs. Yoder, 25, will succeed Mary Louise Norton Retha as city librarian. as librarian here, and since that time Mrs. Evan East, an employe at the library for 26 years, has served acting librarian and will continue through June. The announcement came today from Ed Voris, president of the Bedford Public Library board of trustees, which approved the appointment at its last meeting. Mrs. Yoder comes to Bedford with a Master of Library Science Degree for the Indiana University Graduate Library School. She had received a Library Services and Construction Act scholarship to attend the library school at I. U. The new librarian grew up and attended high school in North Liberty. She attended Indiana University at Bloomington and received her A.B. degree in German with a minor in Spanish from I.U. at South Bend. She has served as children’s librarian at the Plymouth Public Library, and has served at the library on the campus of I.U. at South Bend and in the catalog department of the I. U. The Yoders currently reside at 3315 Longview, Bloomington, and wdll move to Bedford prior to July L COUNTY LINE CLUB MEETS Monday evening the County Line Club members gathered togeather in the home of Mrs. Eugene Skinner with twenty ladies. Assisting hostess was Mrs. Philip Waldron, Jr. The business meeting was conducted by the president, Mrs. Calvin Kronk. The birthday song was sung to Mrs. George Barden, Mrs. Ervin Stuntz and Mrs. Rudolph Elder. The next meeting will be in the home of Mrs. Edna Wolfe with Mrs. Kaerchcr assisting. It will be a hard times party with everyone to come dressed their worst, but carring that beautiful wrapped package. Delicious refreshments were served folowed by some good neighborly visiting.
