If you were no doubt sou witnessed some ven unhappy children Did you hmk around and see the unhappy faces of some? These were the ones who didn t get any candy — m more important. any prize eggs. Because you as parents were out there hunting for your little ones as hard as any child coud ever kx>k or harder Why — becauae you've got to win, win, win! Did you ever do or more important teach your child to do anything for the sheer enjoyment of doing it? It is true that children learn by example, bo if you were one that went on the hunt with your child (especially 4-5 year olds were the worst offenders 1, think what you taught them. After it was announced on the speaker that "No adult, mommy or daddy may accompany any child on the hunt," you still went. Granted we all learn by experience and the toddler to 3 years needed some assistance. There were no goodies or prizes hidden mar the creek and jx'ople from sponsoring organizations were there to keep the little tykes back. I know, because I was there and that was one of my duties, so you can't use that as an excuse. Just think about it the first time someone does a kindness tor your children in several years, did you take some of the joy out of it for some child? Some of you who are guilty how do you think the mothers that stayed on the hill where they were supposed to be felt when a Mommy won a Golden F.gg? If The Shoe Fits Wear It!
