Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Johnson and family, of Howell, Michigan, were here last week to visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Smith and children, of Crestwood, Illinois, and Mr. and Mrs. John Neuhart, of Chicago, were Sunday guests of Mrs. Helen Smith or Koontz Lake. ' Mrs. Floyd Bradford, Jerrery and Sharon Kay spent Tuesday with her mother Mrs. Fren Grote. Sharon Kay will be a guest of her grandmother the rest of the week. The Bradfords are from Silver Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Cripe were guests of honor on Saturday evening at a surprise anniversary party given by their daughters, Kay and Kari. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Erdelyi, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lloyd, Mr. and Mrs. Everette Baker. Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Downs and Dirk Pletcher all of Walkerton; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Reese, of Mill Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Messick of LaPorte and Miss Dot Baxter of Stillwell. A cake in the shape of a wedding bell was served along with punch and ice cream. Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Cripe called from Commerce, Texas to wish their folks a happy anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Erdelyi and sons, Mrs. Julius Erdelyi and Tom, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Erdelyi and Julius Erdelyi Jr. were Easter dinner guests of Airs. Elizabeth Bella in South Bend. Air. and Airs. Donald Brenner and daughter Marcia of Chicago and Air. William Brenner were Easter dinner guests of Albert and Dorothea Brenner of Koontz Lake. Air. Lowell and Miss Lynn Warner and Aliss Shelia Brooker of Willwood, Illinois, are spending part of this week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keller and Airs. Ed Nernberg in St. Joseph, Michigan. The District Convention of the SPEDSQSA or the Barber Shop Chorus of South Bend and Alishawaka called the Valleyaires, will be meeting this week end in Cincinnati, Ohio, with the following from the area attending: Mr. and Mrs. Robert King, Air. and Airs. Lawrence Groshans. They came to help Airs. Groshans enjoy her birthday and later in the evening Airs. Sidney Smith called to extend her best wishes. The Koontz Lake Conservation Club meeting this Saturday evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. CST with a hot pot luck supper followed with a social hour. Hostesses for the evening will be Airs. Followi ing roller skating, the group enjoyed birthday cake, ice cream ' and punch at Rosalie's home. Myrtle Slick were Easter guests f Mr. and Airs. Frosty Cooper and family of Koontz Lake. In the afternoon the entire group went to Kewanna to spend the afterno m with Mrs. Harlan McKinsey. Mrs. Esther Kauffman entertained fcr Easter dinner for Mr. and Airs. Charles Epperson and family of Ea.-t Gary, Mr. and Airs. Gerald Kauffman and family of FLh Lake and Air. Ar’hur Zigler of LaPorte. The two granddaughters from Gary spent most of last week here with their grandmother.. Air. and Airs. Jack Kost and family of Plainfield, spent the week end in Walkerton with his mother, Airs. Thelma Kost. Air. and Airs. Gerald Greed came home Friday night from a winter stay in Fort Alyers Beach, Florida. Mr. and Airs. Warner Clark returned home Saturday from a months vacation spent in Florida. Part of their stay in Florida was with Air. and Mrs. Jack Kline at Naples and visiting with the Creeds at Fort Alyers where the men enjoyed fishing. The remainder of the time was spent at Lake Placid. While there the usual picnic was held with 24 present from the Walkerton area. Easter dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Smith were Mr. and Airs. Warner Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Clark and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Shields and family of Plymouth and Mr. and Mrs Leland Zumbaugh of Argos. Mrs. Fred Myers returned home from the Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend on Tuesday, April 4. Air. and Mrs. Grant Bellinger and Tom were hosts at a family dinner on Easter Sunday for the following guests. Air. and Mrs. William Bellinger of North Alanchester, Air. and Airs.
