Bruce Henry Is spending two weeks in Waukegan, Wisconsin, where he is attending a Johnson outboard motor school. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Gindelberger and Mrs. Bess Gindelberger were informed Sunday of the death of Mrs. Lowell Gindelberger, of Osceola. Mrs. Gindelberger was killed in an automobile accident in Celina, Ohio, on Saturday afternoon. Her husband and daughter only sustained minor injuries. Mr. and Mrs. Orris Farrar spent the week end with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Reed and family in Sumava Resorts, Indiana. Mark Cooper of Koontz Lake spent several days last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frosty Cooper. Mark is in the Navy and will be stationed at the Great Lakes base for six months while attending electronic technichians school.

Mrs. Fred Myers is a patient in the Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend. Bill Bierly was in Chicago Saturday to visit his father, Amos, at the Rehabilitation Center and on Sunday Mrs. Amos Bierly and Mr. and Mrs. DuWayne Whitmer were there to visit with him. There will not be a pot luck supper at the Koontz Lake Conservation Club this Saturday due to the Easter week end. The next supi>er will be on April 8. A bridal shower was held on Sunday afternoon in the home of Mrs. James Reed honoring Miss Kathy Falk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Martin, Koontz Lake. The shower was given by Mrs. Larry Justice, of Koontz Lake, and Mrs. Al Pitts, of Hamlet. There were 25 present from Walkerton, South Bend, LaPorte, Auburn an<l Knox. Many beautiful gifts were received. The table was decorated in pastel shades of pink. blue, green and yellow with a big bell for the centerpiece. Tart shells, coffee and punch was served by the hostesses.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sullivan and family of, Indianapolis, were here to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Kennedy and also a Sunday dinner guest was Mrs. Jennie Gillette. Mr. and Mrs. James Capek Jr. entertained for dinner on Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Capek and family and Mr. and Mrs. James Capek Sr. Mrs. Sonny Cripe and son spent two weeks here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Downs and sister Janise and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cripe and daughters. Mr. Cripe came to spend the week end with the group and Mrs. Cripe and son will fly back to Commerce, Texas after visiting here another week. A son was born on Tuesday, Man h 21 to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Marek, 602 Illinois Stieet, Walkerton , in the E Street Division Hospital, LaPorte. Mi. and Mrs. Nelson Walz returned from a three week vacation in Florida where most of their time was spent at Deerfield Beach. Ihe weather was Perfect. They were at Seibring for two days visiting with Dr. and Mrs. V. B. Wolff and made a call on Mr. and Mrs. John Solmos in Orlando and went to Disney world. Mi and Mrs. John Petro, of Michigan City, were Sunday guests of her parents, Mr. and Mr^. Charles Minter and family. lim Gardner was home from Sheboygan, Wisconsin over the week end ami on Sunday he and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardner, were in Indianapolis to attend a wedding of one of his college classmates and they also called on Mr. and Mrs. Gene Eib and family. HONORED AT SHOW ER Miss Darlene Weller was the gue-t of honor at a miscellaneous bridal shower held for her on Saturday. March Is at the United Methodist Church of Walkerton. Guests were from Walkerton, LaPorte and South Bind. Prizes were won by Mrs. Clyde Stickley and Mrs. John Vandall of Walkerton and Mrs. Gerald Felton of LaPorte. Refreshments of cake and punch were served by the hostesses, Mrs. William Barden of Terre Haute, Mrs. Charles Harris of Elkhart and Mrs. Phillip Harns of South Bend.
