Mr. and Mrs. Charles Epperson and family of Ea t Gary were Sunday evening guests of Mrs. Ray Kaufman. Craig DeMyer and Mise Jan Keyser of Indianapous spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur DeMyer. Mrs. Faye Metcalf, of Plymouth was a recent visitor with Mrs. Mary Lowry of Teegarden. Mrs. Lowry moved into a trailer home in Teegaraen a month ago and is real happy .n her new location. Master Randy Cranmer of North Liberty spent most of la t week with his grandparent . Mr. and Mrs. William Cranmer, of Koontz Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shinn returned home on Friday from a six week vacation in Florida with stops in Sebr ng to say hello to the Wolffs and on to spend the : r time at Key West. Nassau and the Bahama-. Weather was ideal for crui ing and for a perfect vacation in the sunny south. The evening they arrived they were lucky enough to have a birthday dinner awaiting them at Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Walzs. On Saturday evening Mr an'd Mrs. Glen Walz had a birthday supper for Mrs. Sh : nn and others present were Mr. Shinn and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Walz.

A surprise birthday luncheon was given Friday at 12 noon by Mr?. Jerry’ Wiegand for her twin sister, Mrs. Joseph Lowry. Gue ts were Mrs. John Dokator of Mishawaka, Mrs. John Wolff. Mrs. Larry Lowry. Mr?. Bud Rizek. Mrs. Jim Bolze and Mrs. Jack Ryan. Everyone enjoyed the party and the delicious lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Smith. Mrs. Nora Hahn and Mrs. James Weekly and Todd were Friday afternoon visitors with Mrs. John Blackburn. Plymouth and to see the new baby of the Blackburns. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ander-on and family, Mrs. Earl Ward and Mrs. Frank Dunn spent Sunday
in Valparaiso to hear a concert given by the Va paraiso Un.vers !v Choir of which Chris Anderson is a member. The concert wa- presented at 4 pm. in the Caapcl of the Reserection Many cf the numbei s were sung in Germ in. The choir make- many appearances around the state and at pre ent there is a pobsib lily that they might be in North Liberty before too long. • Mr. and Mrs. O car Katlan of Skok.e. Illinois, spent the week end with Mr?. Russell Smith. Koontz Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Will am Michalski and Mrs. Louis Herbold were also guests on Sunday afternoon and evening. Petty Officer 3rd Class Steve L. Lindsley i« spending a month leave with hs parents, Mr. and Mr?. Earl Lirvdsley, Walkerton, before leaving so»- sea duty aboard the USS Long Beach. Lind ley was graduated from a four month ba ic machinist mate school and advanced to his present rate at the Nava] Training Center, Great Lak . 111. He then received six months of Navy Nuclear Power School at Bainbrdge, Maryland and from there has ju t completed six months of operational training at the Naval Nuclear Power Training ur.it in Milton New 5 ork.
