Shamrocks Top Oregon-Davis For Second Victory Noi th L ! bcny’s Shamrocks put the winning touch on homecoming activities Friday night as a 54-45 victory was recorded over On gun-DaVis. The win, only their second this sea. on, was a good team effort. Noi th Liberty wasted little l.me in jumping to the load. A low scoring fint p<riod found the Shamrocks taking a 15-7 advantage. Even though not a big mirgin, t blossomed into a good lead by halftime as the Shamrock outscored the Bobcats by fiv e to grab the 23-15 advantage at the main intermission. The play remained somewhat caut.ous and low scoring in the third period. Getting a dozen point*; of th- ir own and and holding the visitors to a mere s.x, the decia>on was about wrapped up w.th a 35 to 21 three quarter lead. ■ 4f'MVW . A ne pace and the scoring both picked up m the final period as the Bobcats made that big effort to catch up. After scoring only 21 in thre o periods, they came out with 24 in this stanza to reaHy ope n things up. However the speeded up pace allowed the Shamrocks some improved scoring as they managed to hold a safe lead thrughout and end up with the 54-46 decision. Gensinger paced the balanced attack wdh 14 while Kaser also cracked double figures with 11. Awald was high for the game with 17 while Coff ; n and Pearish hod 13 and 11 respectively.
