Sendees for Mrs. Alma L. Van Winkle,92 of North Liberty, who died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday.were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Brethren in North Liberty. Rev. A.P. Wenger, pastor officiated. Burial was in North Liberty. She was bom March 15, 1879, in Liberty Twp. where the lived all her life. Her husband, Charles D. Van Winkle, died in 1964 Two nieces and two nephews survive. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hand Fund to the Church of the Brethren. Walter E. Stiffen Walter E. Steffen, 71. Koontz Like died at 9:30 a.m., Saturday at the Plymouth nursing home., following an illness of two years. A retired ma: on tender, he wis born September 2, 1897 at Sheboygan, Wis. and went to Koontz Lake 25 years ago from Ober. Mr. Steffen was married in Si ptember of 1930 at Sou^h Bend to Ada Stanton, who survives. Al o surviving is one broher, Elmer Steffen of Wis. He reired in August 1971 from the Gumz Farm, North Jud-on where he wa- an agronomist. He was also the manager of the Purdue Expcr.mental Farm. He was born on July 25, 1903 in Fulton County and had lived in
