Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moreau and family entertained the following on Christmas eve, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gierlowski and thear children Tracy, Tammy, Terri and Todd; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Moreau and Denise; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Barross and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Casteel were also callers. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ryan and family returned home this week from a visit with his mother, Mrs. C. A. Ryan in Florida. The 87th birthday of Mrs. Anna Drake was celebrated Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lowry and sons. Those helping her celebrate were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Drake. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Orville Sehmeltz, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson Jr. and family and Mrs. J. O. Harrell of Argos. Mrs. Drake enjoyed the day and everyone wished her many more happy returns. The first meet for the year of the Koontz Lake Oomervation Club will be on Saturday evening, January- 8 at the club house at 5:30 p.m. CST beginning with their famous pot luck supper and followed with an hour of entertainment of some tort. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Patrick entertained with a family dinner on December 26 in their home for Mr. and Mrs. Rotert Boyd and children, Christine, Patrick, Badley and Julie, of Port Williams, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Beuitner and Jill L.nelle, Laporte, Mr. and Mn. Ph’llip Patrick and Jeff, of North Liberty, Gregory Shoemaker and fiance, Chris Juday, and Kent Shoemaker, of North Liberty. Mr. and Mr*. Richard Verkier and Scout have r< turned from a two weeks Christmas vacation at Fort Myers Beach, Florida. They stayed a week there and had Christmas dinner with Mr. and Mrs. John Bellinger and Greg. They went on to Key West and then back up to Lake Wales for several days. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Henry were Mr. and Mre. Emil Vische, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schappcls and Mrs. Florence Picks of Chicago. In the summer they are residents of Koontz Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Cover had for New Years Eve guests Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald and Mrs. Bertha Urtan. Games were played and a deheious lunch was served. The New Year was brought in with the music from Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canad.ans. Mr. and Mrs. Jon Kinoaid and Shai of New Carlisle have ri turned from a two weeks vacation touring Florida. They went sw.mining on Christmas morning. While there they visited with Jim Ake, forint rly of Walkerton. They also went to D.sney World. Nine week old El.zabeth Marie Banks, came to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. James Banks, Medina, Ohio, via adoption. Mrs. Banks L the former Paula Hewitt. The maternal grandparents are Mr, and Mrs. Eugene Hewitt, route 3. Walkerton. After inventory sale at the Mini Shop, Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Frame and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Frame spent a weeks vacation in the southern states with the main places visited being New Orleans and Pensacola which they al] enjoyed.

During the two weeks vacation there we visited Tomkotone, Arizona, the o.d Boot Hill grave yard, Tucson, having a picnic lunch along the way at a roadside table in 75 degree temperature. We made a short trip into Mexico. While in Phoenix we saw the Royal London Wax Mu eum, where wax models of we 11 known people in U.S. and British history and government, also American movie^ and television w-ere on display. Court Webb, escorted the Smith family on a two day tour of the farming area around Mesa and Chandies al. o toured W.iliams Air Force Base and the Sup rstfuon Mountain. The bride-elect is a graduate of John Glenn High School and is a sophomore at Indiana University. Bloomington. Mr. Doll, also graduated from John Glenn High School, attended Indiana University, and is a junior at Butler Unifersity s School of Pharmacy. A summer wedding is being planned.
