wer to what seems to be a very important question among parents of elementary school children. It seems as though Walkerton is rated third highest in the tables in Si. Joseph County but to look at the elementary playground. no one cuu.d believe it. All there is at the playground is a few sets of swings and some see saws. Now that is hardly enough to accommodate all the children. If anyone has traveled around other towns in the Northern parts of Indiana, they will no. tiee at quite a few elementary schools the beautiful and exciting playground equipment they have. I have, as other parents observed our children at school at their recess and it is a pity to see these children just standing around wondering what to do. It doesn't seem fair to our children to be cheated out of these new and excit.ng playground fantasies that are available. 'Surely there is some money from aL our fixes that equipment can be purchased. Alter all, if they are going to send our children outside in all kinds of weather (rain, snow., sleet J even when its so bad that our trash cannot be collected (Monday, December 6) then give the poor kids something to go out for! I would appreciate an answer!
