Miss Linda Brown of Koontz Lake and friend Sandi White of South Bend returned home Saturday from a two week va cation in the beautiful .state of Colorado. Mr. and Mrs Newton Williams spent the week end, August 6 through the 9th in Evansville and Owensville, Indiana They brought back Southern Indiana melons and peaches, nectarines etc., from their favorite orchards, t > share with friends. Mr.- Essie Devos of South B nd wa. a week end guest of Mr. and Mis. Ed DeVos of Koontz Like. On Saturday evening they were all guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Campbell and family at Koontz Like for a cook out supper. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Newell had as their guests far 17 days, his sister, Mis. William Snyder of Vero Beach, Florida. Mis. Snyder left la,st week for a couple of weeks stay in Des Moines. lowa visiting her nephew, Mr. Newall Snyder and family. Tim Jackson and John Morris weie guests of Mike Erdeiyi on Fnday evening at the South Bend Mot ar Speedway to help him celebrate his birthday. Also enjoying the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Erdeiyi and David. The business meeting of the Koontz Like Conservation Club will be held on Friday. August 20 at 7:30 p.m. A birthday cake and ice cream will be served. Ail members arc urged to attend. The pot luck supper will be on Saturd ly at 530 p.m. with Hortense Moerman and Mrs. Russell Lawrence as hostesses for the evening with a social hour fol lowing. Hairy Turner in Peru forseveral days last week. The Turner,s former ly lived in Hamlet where Mr. Turner was principal of the Hamlet schools. On Sunday afternoon Miss McKesson called on Mr. and Mrs. V. L Gainer in Rochester. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur DeMyer and Craig were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schober and Mrs. Marguerite McCormick, of Chicago, Miss Maureen McCor mick of Downers Grave, and Miss Barbara King of Kearney, New Jersey.
