An Associated Press story released Saturday, revealed that the Town of Walkerton had been granted their water rate increase by the PubLc Service Commission of Indiana. This word, however. has not been received by the Walkerton Town Board, clerk-treasurer or town attorney. It stated in the wire service story that the minimum charge of $6 00 per month had been authorized and Chat the $268,000. 00 water department bond issue could be acted upon. Central Control Center Working Smoothly. In the brief time the Central Control Center has been in operation in Walkerton, it has proved a wry valuable asset to the community.
