Mrs. Dale Newland and son of South Bend were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Krueger. Mrs. Pauline Morris spent several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Russell O'Connor in South Bend. Mrs Edna German was the hostess to the M.rriam Circle of the St. John's Luthern Mission ary Society in her home on Wednesday evening. Mrs. Sophia Nottingham entered the E Street Division Hospital on Thursday and had eye surgery on Friday, November 13. She is doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fults. Lake of the Woods, spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Gertrude Sheneman. Mr. and Mrs. Will.am Kurzhal of South Bend called on Mrs. Nellie Smith on Monday. Mrs. Joe Vargo of South Bend ■pent all day last Thursday with Mrs. Bertha Schrader Weekend callers Included Mrs. Harvey Schopy, Day ton, Ohio, Mrs. Howard Noggle of Marion Indiana. Mrs. John Miller. Friday at midnight a pleasant surprise awaited Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schultz, 206 N Main Street, at their door was their daughter and son-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Spriggs of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, who came for a week end visit Mr. Spriggs is in the service. Mr. ana Mrs. Don Teter and Ronald of Mishawaka, entertained guests at a family dinner in their home on Sunday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Teter and Children, Mishawaka. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Thayer. LaPax, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stoneburner of Walkerton and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sheneman of North Liberty. Bom to Mr. and Mrs. Roy T. Richie, formerly of North Liberty. now of South Bend, a daughter, November 9. She has been named Rhonda Michelle. Mrs Richie Is the daughter of Mrs, Virginia Rose. Walter Taylor, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Strope had dinner Sunday at Eby's pines in Bristol In the afternoon they called on Mr. and Mrs. Russell Stacker of Osceola, Club To Hold Open House Mrs. John Harbough, retiring president of the Liberty Township Home Extension Club, will hold an open house for all club members at 1:30 p.m. Nov 19 to complete a special project of the club. Members are to bring their filled, decorated coffee cans for Beaty Hospital, Westville, at thia time. Mrs. Harbough presided over the November meeting held in the home of Mrs. Marvin Kizer. Members sewed cancer bandages preceding a cooperative luncheon. Guests included Mrs. Henry Koenig, Mis. Dean Holderread. Mrs. Thomas McGwinn and Mrs Leon, ard Steele. Mrs. Marvin Kane installed the officers for the coming year. Serving as president will be Mrs. Herman Br.nkhoff. Other officers are Mrs. Donald Norton, vice-president; Mrs. Harley Knowlton, secretary - treasurer; Mrs Osborn Fisher, songleader; and Mrs. Harbaugh, reporter. Mrs. Arthur Kime, program chairman, introduced her sister, Mrs. Koenig, who gave an illustrated miration of her Family's Journey to Paraguary. The annual Thenksgiving bake sale has been set for Wednesday, November 25, in the Community State Bank.
The December Christmas party is being planned by Mrs. Kane, Mrs. Norton, Mrs. Richard Weaver, and Mrs. Carl Will.e Since the meeting will be a surprise, the time and place will be announced at the Nov. 19 open house.
