Mrs Minnie Mikesell spent last week in Mishawaka with her son and fam.ly. Mi. and Mrs. Clyde Martin Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bick were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs Oran Conrad in Rochester. Mrs. M. B Slick had as her recent Sunday guests, E Paul and Mrs. Slick and children, of Fort Wayne. Mrs. Fayette Dunn and Mrs. Fred Harris, of Chicago, spent the week end with Mr and Mrs. Dennis Dunn and family in Lafayette. Mrs. Ellen Brede. Mrs. George Lanphere and daughter. Mrs. Robert Flanagan of Hong Kong, were Sunday visitors in the home of Mr and Mrs Marvin Metx. of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs Robert Erdelyi and family were Sunday dinner guests of his mother, Mrs. Julius Erdelyi and son Tom. Walter Baker returned to his home from the E. Street Hospital. Koontz Lake Conservation pot luck supper on Saturday night at 5:30 CST at the Club House with a social hour following. Mr. and Mrs. George Pfeiffer will be hosts for the even.ng. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Masterman and grandson, Brett returned Friday after a two weeks va cation in Wisconsin with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schultz and family. Friday evening Mr and Mrs. Rex Masterman and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Masterman and families were the guests of their parents, the Harry Mastermans. Harry caught several large fish while in W.sconsin. Indiana, on Friday evening, November 20. Candidates for the degree will report between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. for examination and instruction with the degree work beginning at 8 .00 p m. under the supervision and guidance of Ed Hedstrom, MA. Refreshments will follow the Initiation. YORKTOWN HOME EC. CLUB MEETS The November meet.ng of the Yorktown Home Ec. Club was held on Nov. 16 in the home of Mrs. Gerald Creed with Mrs. Robert Farrar as her co-hostess. The meeting was opened with the song of the month, “Now the day is over" The pledge of the flag was said and the club creed Was read.

Roll call, "A roll call for next year ’ was answered by 17 members. The minutes of the last meeting weie read. fu.lowed by the tieasurer’s report The lesson was a demonstration given by Feeve’s Floral Shop " Many interesting things were shown to us. We were shown dried flower arrangement and many Christmas center pieces. We were taught many helpful hints on putting these together. We packed cookies for Beaty Memorial Ho.-pital and also for some service men from the area. Disscus.on was held on buying clothes for some of tiu neeedy children in our schools The club collect was read. Prayer was given by Mrs. Marvin Bouse followed by the refreshments. The hostess prize was won by Mrs. Ralph Jackson and the Co hostess by Mrs. Dale Ullery. Our Christmas party will be held on December 14 in the home of Mrs. Harry Masterman. All members are to bring a g.ft for their secret pal. Each member is to bring three dozen cookies individually wrapper!. Candy is to be individually wrapped also. At the next £»uo meeting. November 23. we will have an instructor from the Tri-Chem Liquid Embroidery Company. Each one will be g.ven a pattern free and paint will be furnished. Each member is asked to bring a guest.
