Mrs. Bill Newson, of Buchanan Michigan, spent Sunday with Alts. Faye Jones. Weekend guests of Mrs. Russel Smith were Mrs. Roy Hohman and Mrs. George Hering of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Noble Sheatsley Jr., of Alexandria. Virgini i. spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noble Sheatsley .Sr. Mrs. Ellen Brede returned home from a five week toui which included Be gium, Spain, France, I Lily, Switezriand, Austria, etc. Mrs Brede m ide the same tr p .-even years ago and said the progress was remarkable. Word was received Wednesday of last week by the Walkerton i’ol.ce of an auto accident involving Mr and Mrs. Russell 11 iby, 110 Washington St. Waikerton The accident occured in Batavia,. New York while the Rubys were vacationing. Boln are in St. Jerome H .spita! in Batavia, seriously injured. Mr. Ruby is the Street and Park Commissioner for Walkerton. Fred L oyd who lias been .n the armed forces in Viet Nam tor the past four years is on a .'lO day furlough and will be home this week to visit h.s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Cripe and daughters and other relatives. Fred has completed his service .n Viet Nam and wil be stationed somewhere in the states following his furlough. Mrs. Newton Williams was in DeMotte, Indiana Monday, to pay her respects to the families of three friends, two of which lost their lives ni a traffic accident, near Hebron Saturday night. The dead are Mrs.. Gerald Curtin and Mrs, Alfred Ewart, of Demotte. The driver of the car, Mrs. Elbert Cheever, is in the Porter County Hospital, in Valparaiso, seriously injured. Miss Knip, of Demotte, driver of the other car, was serously injured and underwent surgery on Monday. The children or the late Charles Groshans met together for dinner at Niles, last Thursday evening. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Groshans, New Carlisle, Mrs Methal Ferroi Monticello. Florida, Mr. md Mrs. Charles Groshans, of South Bend, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Groshans, St. Petersburg. Fla., and Mr. and Mrs Laurence Groshans, of Walkerton. After a social time they left for their homes bidding goodbye to the Harry Groshans, who are leaving for their home in Florida this week. <

MIW DAVID KNOWLTON IS HONORED AT SHOWER Mrs. David Knowlton was honored Sunday afternoon at a baby shower given by Mrs Gene Lute, and Miss Mar.lyn Lwhn in the Johnson Township Community Building. The honor guest was presented with a bootie corsage. The g its were placed on a table decorated in a pink and blue crepe paper table cloth and a baby tree center piece.
