Mrs. David Donathen and son Scott of Chicago; Diane Clady of Dikeville and Mrs. Laßue Donathen of North Liberty were recent visitors of Mrs. Myrtle Donathen. Mr. and Mrs. William Browning and son Michael, of Great Falls, Montana; Mr. and Mrs. Lester McCrosky of Knox; Frances Slattery and Edna Albright of North Liberty were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Goff at Delphi. Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Boone and son of Edwardsburg, Michigan were Sunday dinner guests on August 9th of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Troy of State Road 23. On their trip home from a vacation spent in Montreal, Canada, Nova Scotia and Prince Isle and Mt. Washington, New Hampshire. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Patrick and Tammy, Walkerton; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sheneman, North Liberty; Mr. and Mrs Chester Theyer of LaPaz and Mr. and Mrs. Raj’ Stoneburner of Walkerton were guests at a birthday dinner party in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Teter and son. Ron in Mishawaka. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Teter and son of Mishawaka were also guests. The occasion was in honor of Don Teter's birthday . Ice cream, and cake was served.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hagguist, Mr. and Mrs. John Bush and Mrs. Tom Welhelm of South Bend spent Tuesday with Mrs. Nellie Smith. J4il Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sheneman attended the funeral of the farmer's sister, Mrs. Laura Henry of Plymouth in the Johnson Funeral Home last Friday. A number of folks attended the Singspiration at the Olive Branch Church on Osborne Road Sunday night. A fine program of music and singing was given. Mr. and Mrs. William Browning and son, Michael of Great Falls, Montana spent the past eight daj’s with Mrs. Browning's mother, Mrs. Sophia Nottingham and other relatives. MY. and Mrs. Herman Kaser of South Bend were Sunday evening luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Reamschnyder of Pine Road. Mrs. Sterling Amm, North Liberty. Mr. and Mrs. William Banks of Burlington, lowa and Mrs. Fred Biggs of South Bend attended the Kaiser reunion at Centennial Park in Plymouth on Sunday, August 16. Mr. and M*s. Gary Hastings, South Bend were Sunday dinner guests of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kurzhal. Afternon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Kurzhal anC family of Valparaiso. Mr. and Mrs Arno Reed of Phoenix, Arizona. left Monday for Yakima, Wasnimion on their return home. They mid spent several month visiting relatives and friends in the North Liberty, South Bend area. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Treshour of Clermont, Florida, who are spending a two month vacation in Indiana, stopped into visit with Mrs. Bertha Schrader last Wednesday. They formerly lived on Sumption Prairie.

Mrs. Esther Harman spent last week with Mrs. Laura Ruff. □ q BIRTHS □ a Mr. and Mrs. Dana Flora of North Liberty are the parents of a daughter born on August 12 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. A son was born on Thursday, August 13 to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baker of Walkerton in the E Street Division Hospital, LaPorte. RUTH CIRCLE The Ruth Circle of the United Methodist Church enjoyed a picnic supper and a very interesting cooperative program at the home of Mrs. E. Brooker on Tuesday evening. Every member present contributed something toward the program which proved quite entertaining as well as informative. Miss Mildred McKesson was a guest and Marilyn Hochstetter, Anne Anderson and Jean Cole contributed to the birthday bank. OPERATION LIMA The Wakerton Jaycees have been circulating phamplets. asking for the assistance in giving aid to the some one hundred of thousands of persons who survived the earthquake in Pern South America recently. The quake took 55.000 lives, the remaining persons which were left homeless are the ones the Walkerton Javcee's are anxious about.
